I really enjoyed this story. The short story must be twice as good. I gotta read it sometime.

Yea it was pretty good although the ending with Umney finding a possible in wasn't that good in this medium but as the final words in the story i'll bet it fit perfectly.

i thought it was alright. i kept waiting for the whole thing to turn into the writer having had a psychotic (sp) break, with the wife unwittingly playing along, since he did say something about wishing umney were there. it got wierd for me when the wife just accepts the situation so quickly, and then the pool girl moves in? wth? originality versus satifaction, i suppose.

I enjoyed William H. Macy's acting, but the story seemed to have been cut down to fit the 1 hour timeframe - i haven't read the king story, but i'm sure another 1/2 hour could've been better.

The wife could've been fleshed out a little better - we see little anguish, Umney arrives in her dimension, she's all over him; then she committs suicide - this was the toughest thing to overcome.  The second is when Sam is starting to be a PI- this should've been longer
