    I'm afraid.

Should I take a flashlight along? Maybe a pit-bull for defense? Or just a big jar of ....

    Never mind.

I got up to the end of VM-S1d2, so she was at the prison discovering something new about herself.

As for "The 4400," you are indeed in for quite a ride. Despite detractors -- i.e., people who've been watching it from the very beginning -- I quite enjoyed it, and I think they're taking the story in some truly interesting directions.

It may just be that I was new to the show, too, and had very few preconceptions.

I'm downloading "The 4400" S3 right now. And I've Netflix'd both discs for S1, should get that this weekend. So am I in for a good ride?

Maybe this might be a bit biased because it's one of my favorite shows ever, but I would say Hell yeah you are. It's best if you can watch it from the beginning so you'll know what all is going on, though, just because there has been a lot of stuff going on and it can be kind of confusing but it's definitely worth checking out. I hate science fiction shows too, but I love me some of The 4400.

ALRIGHT in honor of the new owner of McNamera/Troy, "who got big balls" ...

I thought this might be sorta fun. My brother sent me a bunch of old photos from when we were kids and stuff.

So ... anybody want to guess what the year was based on my hair?

    .

Yeah ... well, my hair is def not like THAT anymore. And wtf is up with those pointy shoes. As I recall they were mock croc  ... and the Morris Day clock sweater. ??? WTF! That could give it away ...

    Any guesses?

After you're all done laughing that is.

    ...

Anybody else got balls to post an old or zanny photo of themselves?

I want to guess 1980 because of the hair, the outfit and the teevee in the background, which looks like a secondary teevee and possibly black-and-white.

I don't think you're in the basement, though, because of the longish cream-colored drapes which suggest a main-floor sort of picture window, while the unrepentant gold carpeting looks like it's got a couple more years left in it before everyone forcibly redecorated and brought in muted slate, eggshell and earth tones (like the handbag and ottoman).

I'm guessing 1980, but I'd accept as early as 1977, and as late as 1984.

I want to talk about the look of unspoiled innocence in your eyes and your smile. Your outfit screams "night of fun" while your posture and gentle face talk about a nervous innocence. I want to tell the girl in this picture to fly FREE! To take on the world with a fresh face -- stop hiding behind all that feathering! Go for it! Get the short do! Get the off-the-shoulder! Swing that bad girl bod and take her out on the town! Look at the longing in those eyes, love. Make your world FULFILL you!

And god, I hope with that carpeting it's not later than 1975, dear, and I mean in the springtime.

    Hi ... okay that's funny.

Well dont let the house fool you. It's my Aunt's, she's way tacky and the house looks EXACTLY the same today. Yup. Same carpet, curtains and wall paper.

That's not a TV, that's a computer -- or word processing thingy. And in the 70's I was still wearing Mary Janes, I'm not THAT old, Teej.

    *Pokes TJ*

    So ....

Hm ... utilitarian walls, a graceless abutment of entrance and closet, cheap unframed National Galleries print of Monet's "The Houses of Parliament, Sunset," a tiny microwave oven and ... is that potpourri?

I'm guessing early American college student, and the two of you look very sweet together.

    My mistake.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Christian and Sean were roomates in college and you know what Dr. Wolper is saying about them ...

Oh fine. We're madly in love and it manifests by me forcing him to sleep with his girlfriend every night by not letting her into my room.

Wow, old school pics.  I like this new, fun idea.  I would guess the pic of you is from the mid-80's Dez.  probably somewhere between 1984 and 1986 from the look of your hair and clothes.

Oh, and it's tj - with hair!  You pretty much look the same now, except with less hair.  That's so wild.

I did enjoy having hair. Can't imagine why I got rid of it.

And good to see kev and Cordy here at Ava's! Nuck! Get me a Seabreeze and these two crazy kids a drink of something -- on me.

Man, it's nice to be in a place where you don't have to duck or towel off when you say that.
