*Stumbles up on stage and busts out with "Have A Drink On Me" by AC/DC*

    Whiskey, gin and brandy
With a glass I'm pretty handy
I'm trying to walk a straight line
On sour mash and cheap wine
So join me for a drink boys
We're gonna make a big noise

    So don't worry about tomorrow
    Take it today
    Forget about the cheque
    We'll get hell to pay

    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Yeah
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    On me

    Come on

    Dizzy, drunk and fightin'
    On tequila white lightnin'
    My glass is getting shorter
    On whiskey, ice and water
So come on and have a good time
And get blinded out of your mind

    So don't worry about tomorrow
    Take it today
    Forget about the cheque
    We'll get hell to pay

    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    On me

    Get stoned

    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Yeah
    Have a drink on me
    Come on
    Oooh

    Gonna roll around
    Gonna hit the ground
    Take another swing
    Have another drink
    Gonna drink it dry
    Gonna get me high
    Come on all the boys
    Make a noise

    CHORUS
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me
    Have a drink on me

    Have a drink oooooooon me

    Oooo ... an older woman.

Though to be perfectly honest, with 31 firmly in my rearview mirror it just makes me feel all the older and ... insufficiently accomplished.

BANISHING such thoughts for a Friday! * throws on a toga and, inspired, also slams some Jaeg * WHOA! * beer chaser * * beer chaser * * beer chaser *

Yeah -- I mentioned that "being old" thing already. Oy.

    * sip * You get a chance to see the viddy a couple posts back yet, Beef?

So what viddy are you talking about? I'll have to go back and check that out.

It took less long than some because the Megan arc is only like five or six episodes, but I felt pretty good about it. Thanks!

AGGHH! It's a Friday and they're trying to make me get some w**k done as well? What the hell?!

I'll check back in when I can. Otherwise, great weekends, everyone!

N/T-S3 drops tomorrow! * drooling * And the new season is in eight days. Maybe technically nine, but eight is more fun, since the day-of is just going to be a huge massive N/T marathon for me. Yeah, I'll be watching S3 a little here and there through the week -- I won't be able to help myself -- but Tuesday, Sept. 5, I will be waking up and just watching S3 from beginning to end.

I'm looking forward to Sean's climbing back from complete decay, Matt becoming almost human again, Cherry Peck's entire arc, all that nonsense with Ariel and her dad. Examining the entire Kit/Quentin arc with 20/20 hindsight, the Nip/Tuck Christmas episode and just basking in the wonderfulness that is N/T.

I'll have to start at around 9 a.m. if I want to catch "Dead Like Me" at 6, but that seems like the best possible way to spend a day when you're still just starting to quit smoking (I'm planning to start the quit on Saturday) and are essentially taking the day off anyway.

For now, I'm planning to save the last episode of S3 for after "Dead Like Me" and watch the finale back to back with the premiere.

G-d I'm looking forward to this.

And believe me, it's good to have something to look forward to in the early days of a quit.

Heh. Thanks dez. It was pretty damn good. Friday night we went to go see Clerks 2 again and then on Saturday I got my birthday presents from Kelly which were a c.d. that I've been trying to find for weeks with no success and Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness on DVD. Then we went and rented Bubba Ho-Tep and had a huge Bruce Campbell movie marathon all day while drinking scotch. It was pretty damn sweet.

Woah does that sound a mighty tame for Beef and his brfday. But sounds like you had a good time.

Isn't there a sequel releasing to Bubba Ho-Tep? I should Netflix that again ...

Hah. Things have changed a lot since I got back dez. Not really the same person I was a few months back. I had a lot of time to think about things and there were quite a few things that I realized I needed to take care of and change to better myself. I didn't feel that I was being fair to myself and living the best life that I could. I like to think of myself now as the new and improved version.

Not sure about a sequal to Bubba Ho-Tep though. That was actually the first time I've seen it this weekend. I guess they did leave it open at the end. Bruce Campbell didn't necessarily HAVE to die at the end. He could have just been hurt pretty badly.

You Us viewers are lucky. I got S3 N/T in May on Region 2 and the extras were only deleted scenes and nothing more. Why do we get such a terrible disservice DVD for this wonderul show?

Well.. I was looking around on the net and you're right dez.. They are making a sequel called Bubba Nosferatu. It's actually a prequel though.

I'm not sure we're gonna get a lot more than that. Judging from the last two, usually deleted scenes are the only extras.

But hell, I'm even looking forward to those.

Oh, my bad -- I think S2 did have a character exploration of Christian on the last disc if I'm remembering correctly.

By all rights, S3 should have a nice long discussion between the cast, the crew and the writers about what they all thought about the whole Carver deal.

I will be looking for that first thing.

You are incredibly cool in whatever incarnation, Beef. Glad you got to relax and enjoy what sounds like a most excellent birthday.
