why still season 5 after nearly 2 years?

    This may have been posted 1000 times already, but why the F is it still season 5?? Season 5 started in 2007 and there has nearly been 12 months between the last episode and the new one. The 14th ep had a normal cliff hanger like the rest of the seasons! WTF?

    My guess is that Murph envisioned this whole thing as a single season and even tho production got interrupted by the writers' strike, he isn't going to call it Season 6.

    Meanwhile, FOX or whoever wanted to sell DVDs so they called the set "S5-Part 1." But it's hard not to react to this as a completely new season.

    I always thought it was because of the writers strike, too. It doesn't really phase me. I'm treating it as a new season because it's been so long, I don't care what they call it :-)

    first of all props to the person with the TV TOME picture i miss those good ol days and second of all they should of made this season 5 part 2 a whole new season 6 it would of worked so much better in the context of season speaking but no matter what the show is still great and holding strong.

    Writers strike mainly and I should point out that season 6 will be 2010-2011.
