  • Season 1 Episode 13: Escobar Gallardo

  • Goof: Escobar tells Sean that he was 23 when Blondie's "Rapture" came out. However, his FBI file later states his birth date as being in 1967. This would have made him 13 when the song was released, in 1980.

  • Featured Music: "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby (Heroin breast implant removal surgery) "Baby" by Koop (Christian/Kimber/Bobolit at Bobolit's house) "Freaky (To You)" by Sweet Stuff (Christian/Gina have 'labor-inducement' sex) "Cars" by Gary Numan (Sean goes to Escobar's to kill him) "Rapture" by Blondie (Sean's post-attempt to kill Escobar/Escobar asks for new face) "Wild World" by Cat Stevens (Sean in hotel/Julia comes to get back together) "Following" by Chungking (McNamara's/Christian having dinner at ending) "Machine Gun" by Commodores (Escobar gets busted at airport by FBI with 'new' face of Jorge Barco)

  • Real Life Comparison: Escobar's surgery is loosely based on the surgery of Amado Carrillo Fuentes. He was a powerful drug dealer. In July 1997, he died while having plastic surgery to drastically alter his face so he could disappear.

  • Goof: After Sean pulls the gun on Escobar you can see him going to again in the mirror.

  • Goof: On the FBI Ten Most Wanted List, Escobar's nationality and place of birth are listed as "Columbia." Of course, it should be "Colombia."

  • The Miami Herald newspaper that Christian was reading was in an older format than the current one.

  • Season 1 Episode 12: Antonia Ramos

  • It's revealed that Gina is 35 years old.

  • Featured Music:

"Poison Arrow" by ABC (Maria's heroin-filled breast implant removal surgery)
"Drive" by The Cars (Sean & Christian meet Escobar to pay him off at pancake/coffee house)
"I Wear My Sunglasses at Night" by Corey Hart (Sean, Christian, & Liz meet Escobar at hotel to remove Antonia Ramos' implants)

  • Season 1 Episode 11: Montana/Sassy/Justice

  • Cara tells Matt that she doesn't remember him because her short-term memory was impaired. This is an incorrect statement because short-term memory is used for events that are happening in the present moment and is only used for a short period of time. Information that is stored in the short-term memory is then transported to the long-term memory (where faces, events, e.t., are being stored) and it is stored there permanently. Also, if she doesn't remember him or they haven't met before (as Matt has stated a few episodes back), how does she know who Matt is and what he looks like?

  • Goof: In the scene with Grace, Sean, and Sassy's Psychologist, Sean has a bead of sweat on the end of his nose in some shots but not in others.

  • Featured Music:

"Hot Legs" by Rod Stewart (Montana/Sassy 'cankle' surgery)

  • Season 1 Episode 10: Adelle Coffin

  • Featured Music:

"Sunshine Superman" by Donovan (Christian/surgery - sews fingers on patient incorrectly)
"The Four Seasons (Concerto No.3 in F Major, RV.293 'Autumn': l: Allegro)" by Antonio Vivaldi (Christian/Sean in re-certification with "heads")
"Claire De Lune" by Claude Debussy (Megan & Sean have dinner)
"Rocket Man" by Elton John (Megan commits suicide)

  • At the end of the episode, Julia says to Sean: "I can't hate a woman who died of cancer at 36." Yet, in Episode 6 (Megan O'Hara), Megan's patient form states that she is only 31.

  • Goof: The talking head of Adelle Coffin was a blue head with a hair piece (and an inch of prosthetic skin all around) on top. Digitally, the actress' face was filled into the blue part. Anyhow, the goof is that you can clearly tell the difference between the skin tones of the actress compared to the inch of prosthetic skin.

  • Goof: When Julia first sobs after knowing Sean's affair, she puts both her hands on her forehead. But when the camera switches angle to Sean, we only see Julia's left hand on her face.

  • Season 1 Episode 9: Sophia Lopez II

  • Featured Music:

"Boombox" by Mosquitos (Christian/Kimber/Merril Bobolit at the spa)
"About the Sun" by Trevor Lissauer (Megan/Sean make love in hotel)
"Lover Boy" by Billy Ocean (Julia/Jude at gym)
"Shelter Me" by The Open Door (Kimber ties up Christian)
"Fever" by Daniel Ash (Kimber tortures tied-up Christian)
"A Sorta Fairytale" by Tori Amos (show ending)

  • Goof: After Matt calls Sean the corner of the screen shows that the phone is on silent, but the phone was audibly ringing.

  • Goof: During the scene where Christian and Bobolit are going to watch a boxing match in Christian's living room, you can clearly see an entire crew member's body for about 5-10 seconds behind Christian's chair. This happens about halfway through the scene, during one of the shots that shows Christian from his left side.

  • The close captions spell Cara with a "K". Ironically, the episode has a scene with Christian's name mistaken for a "K".

  • Goof: When Kimber and Christian are "role playing," she draws lipstick lines on his face, not his nose; however, in other shots, he does have a bright red lipstick spot. One minute, his nose is marked for surgery, the next it is not. The fate of Christian's nose changes many times over the course of the scene.
