  • Really enjoyed seeing Stephanie as a crime fighter!

There was a lot to like abuot this episode of Nor Ordinary Family. Firstly, Jim and Stephanie working together as crime fighters was a very interesting angle on the storyline, and that was very enjoyable to watch!

Daphne and JJ's storyline iwith the poker, the broken statue and then breaking in to school wa s very intresting and really enjoyable! They are quite funny when put together, and I really enjoyed the acting tonight!

So a lot of interesting developments took place, particularly towards the end, so I won't spoil tohose storylines, but I definitely must say that I highly recommend this episode, and it is one of my favorite ones so far!moreless

  • QUOTES (11)

    • George: I can't believe you and Stephanie have been married for 18 years. That's a long time. It's like your marriage is finally old enough to vote and have sex.

    • Stephanie: Daphne, you're only 16.
Daphne: I'm old enough to operate a motor vehicle. I am perfectly capable of operating a JJ.

    • Jim: I mean, George was too busy shooting at me or running over me with a car to consider setting me on fire.
Stephanie: George hit you with a car?
      Jim: It-it was a rental.

    • Jim: Whatever rough patches we've been through. When we're together, we just...
      Stephanie: Fit.

    • Jim: He's like, a--a super villain.
Stephanie: Is that what you call them?
Jim: Do you have something better?
Stephanie: Well, no, but I'm sure Katie might.

    • George: (to Jim) I cannot believe it! I cannot believe you brought a girl to the lair.
Stephanie: I can't believe you guys have a lair. Is that what you call it, "The Lair"? Cause it's kind of on the nose. (points to her own)

    • Jim: You and me, working on this together. It finally made me realize what's been missing from my crime-fighting.
      Stephanie: Tights and a cape?
Jim: You. Everything's better when I do it with you, Steph.

    • Stephanie: Do you guys.. do this all the time?
Jim: Well, sometimes. Sometimes we just beat guys up.

    • Stephanie: No, don't worry. Once I identify his vulnerable DNA strand, I will isolate a molecular pathogen that will trigger Patton's cellular senescence, rendering his powers inert forever.
      Jim: Duh.
George: Damn. Eighteen years well spent.

    • Jim: That's George.
Stephanie: He calls you a lot when you two are chasing bad guys.
Jim: Why do you think I switched to unlimited minutes?

    • Stephanie: Do you usually feel like this... after?
Jim: No. Usually I just save someone. It's the first time I've ever...
Stephanie: You didn't have a choice, Jim.
Jim: Do you think... before he got his powers, that guy was ever anything like us?
Stephanie: No. No, he was never like us.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Katie: Impervious, like Power Man?
Referencing Luke Cage, a superhero at Marvel Comics, who first appeared in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #1 (June 1972) and was created by Archie Goodwin and John Romita Sr. Convicted of a crime he didn't commit, Lucas went to prison and volunteered for an experimental procedure in return for time served. He gained near-impenetrable skin and super-strength, used his abilities to escape, set himself up as a "hero for hire," and worked to clear his name. Since then, he has partnered with martial artist Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fist, and became a member of the New Avengers.

    • Katie: Battlestar? Hello?
Referencing the 2003 reimaging of the 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica. After the destruction of the Twelve Colonies, the survivors gather on the Battlestar Galactica and Laura Roslin is elected president. The series chronicles the internal struggles of the human survivors, and their attempts to survive the attacks of the Cylon robot race.
