  • Another very interesting and enjoyable storyline!

This was a very good episode, and I once again really enjoyed it! The start of the episode, with the depicted bowling scene, was just hilarious, and all of the Powells using their superpowers to score strikes!

I enjoyed the conflict with the 'sidekicks', as it was a nice change from the usual. JJ's storyline was also very good today, as they are finally doing something with his chracter.

Additionally, the stuff with 'Will', aka 'Juosha' was very good! I thought that scene with Daphne was phenomenal, and then the ending of the episode was scintillating! Highly impressed!

All up, a terrific episode, adn I really enjoyed it! Keep it up, guys, and I can't wait to see more episodes of this high standard!moreless
  • they could do better. nice episode but raises alot of "are they stupid?" questions.

Okay so Jim has been at it with the superhero gig for the last three months or so of his life. in the times that we've seen him do it, he constantly exposes his face to the villain. duh!? the one time he did wear a ski mask, he managed to let the villain pull it off. so, Jim's an artist right? why doesn't he buy a paintball mask and paint it or just mold something out of fiber glass himself to use as his cover. sheesh.. and our resident villain, Mr. Will/Joshua. really? erase daphne's memories 3 months? why not just erase the last hour or 5 minutes. now, mother dear will find a cure and find out who the supervillain is. okay, okay.. he might not have control of his powers, blah blah blah. still, that's kinda stupid. other than that, awesome episode. brings sidekicks to light, or rather PARTNERS!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • After the events of "No Ordinary Mobster," Jim quite rightly takes several seconds making sure he is properly disguised before taking on the first group of conductors. However, when he fights crooks at the money train, he doesn't bother to conceal his face at all.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • JJ: I thought having these powers was cool because I was finally good at stuff. The problem is, I'm really good at stuff.
      Daphne: Wow. Sounds awful.

    • George: Would you take it easy? You might as well be wearing a t-shirt that says, "Me and my family went to South America, and all we got were these lousy superpowers."

    • Katie: Okay. I'm never sure where the line is of too much information is with you.
      Stephanie: This is about Will?
Katie: Yes! I have not felt this way about a guy since Comic-Con '06 when I fell for the cutest metrosexual Wookie.
      Stephanie: Okay, there's the line.
Katie: I just really like him. He makes me feel like the highest point in the electromagnetic spectrum.

    • Katie: Do you know the odds of meeting a single, down-to-earth, heterosexual male with impeccable fingernails? I mean, it's technically rhetorical.

    • Stephanie: Sweetie, everyone exaggerates online. I believe it's part of the implied social contract of Internet dating.

    • Stephanie: I thought we were a team.
Katie: Of course you do--Team Stephanie! But even though there's no "I" in team, there's a big "I" in Stephanie. And there's a "P-H," which we both know in chemistry s a measure of acidity.
      Stephanie: Wait--what?

    • George: You think getting powers turned you into a superhero? No! Having someone believe in you did that. Without me, you'd be a really strong guy with an impressive list of party tricks.

    • George: And I am humbled. I don't even deserve this award... not when there's so many real heroes out there living and serving every day. I'm talking about teachers, community leaders, police sketch artists... doctors, scientists, everyday people working to solve everyday problems and not-so-everyday problems. So look at the people around you. So look at the families you know. We're all heroes. Maybe even superheroes.. in our own way. Even if it's a secret we choose to keep only to ourselves.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Daphne: How do you explain that, Mister... Gepetto?
Referencing Gepetto, the fictional character created by Carlo Collodi in his 1883 story The Adventures of Pinocchio. Collodi's story tells of Gepetto, a woodcarver who makes a wooden puppet in lieu of a son and names it Pinocchio. Pinocchio aspires to be a real boy and runs away.
