  • Another terrific episode, and one that presents a new challenge for Noir! Warning: Review contains some spoilers!

    9.0
Here's a rather interesting episode. It begins with a job gone horribly wrong: the target's been eliminated, as usual, but Kirika's been shot and critically wounded! There's actually blood in this episode, something we haven't seen before. Is it because one of the main characters has been wounded?

It seems that Noir's in danger of being stranded in a foreign land, and Mirielle is tempted to kill her partner in order to escape. She decides not to, however, claiming that Kirika is her key to uncovering Les Soldats, but is she actually starting to care about her amnesiac companion? When it comes time to fulfill her promise and kill Kirika, will she be able to? Her decision to withhold an impromptu execution leads to Kirika getting captured, and so Mirielle has to rescue her.

There's some rather odd scenes in this episode with the unknown priest, who is walking past an image of the two sword-wielding maidens found on the pocket watch, and there's also an engraving of the words "Les Soldats." The priest also has some interesting things to say about Noir. What is the story behind this character? I guess I'll have to keep watching to find out!moreless
