  • This episode is packed with action, but the ending is a little weak.

The episode opens with a bit of a flashback into the end of the previous episode, which is pretty standard. It also quickly enters into the action as Kirika and Chloe rush off to Mireille’s rescue. This episode was very high-paced, and revealed even more about Chloe’s character, which was long overdue. The villain in this episode is very cunning and deadly, and a real challenge to the Noir girls. It’s a shame that they don’t get more of an opportunity to duel with her. However, the ending to this episode seemed to get dropped abruptly, and on first impression, it doesn’t look like a big, glaring plot point that was raised here will be answered anytime soon. Ordinarily, that would be okay, but the fact that this episode seemed to have skipped a large portion of the ending scene was a little disorienting.

If I came away from this episode with anything, it would be this: What side is Altena and Chloe really on? There still seems to be a lot about the Soldats that has yet to be revealed.
