Chloe: I had to watch you living with her, when I knew, when I knew that it should have been me! It should have been me, not her!
Chloe: On this very ground, chosen maidens who served the darkness once fought to the death. Those who survived were the ones who would become the true Noir. How ironic that you will die here. Or is it simply your destiny?
Odette: For while it's true that love sometimes does kill people, there is something else that you must never forget- that hatred can never save them.
Chloe & Kirika: (thinking) The two of us are the true Noir. Bound by our souls, sworn to each other, living together, in the darkness.
Chloe: I am so blissful to be worthy of your love, mistress.
Altena: Oh my. And that makes me happy as well.
Kirika: I saw, my other self, and I found her. It was Chloe. I can kill people; I still kill, but now, it saddens me.
The Chloe version of the opening speech is used in this episode (see episode 12).
Once again, the ADV DVD release incorrectly credits Andy McAvin and Dean Turner as voicing the female characters Borne and Marennes. They were actually voiced by Laura Scott (aka Laura Gronewold) and Tiffany Terrell.
