As Altena recounts the history of the Soldats, the Council itself plots to move against her, and her idea of recreating Noir. Meanwhile, Chloe eagerly awaits as Kirika faces one last trial, hoping that the two of them will indeed prove worthy to become the next incarnation of the true Noir.moreless

Kirika’s true identity has been revealed, and this episode details how Mireille will react to this revelation, and how Kirika will react to the truth. In the backwash of this revelation, Altena explains to Chloe how the Soldats began, so you can imagine that the beginning of this episode is slow moving. This isn’t too surprising, since a lot of the latest episodes have been more reflective and slow paced. However, Altena’s opposing faction is still out to kill – not test – the three girls, and so they mobilize the Knights of Paris to kill the assassins. This results in an epic, well-animated, and very exciting rooftop battle that is probably one of Noir’s final moments. It culminates with yet another stunning revelation, one that will now send Noir off into a new, and much darker direction for its final story arc.moreless
