As far as I remember, I was always a great fan of Peg Phillips' character. Apart form getting finally the chance to deepen her character, paired with Barry Corbin, she also steals the show.
When Ruth-Anne pays off a store from Maurice, he still remains bossy towards her and can not agree on Ruth-Anne being independent. The argue between old friends leaves Ed torn between the two. What an excellent way to show how a child acts when it's parents are pain in each other necks. The creators present a typical family matter with no family!
Well, I must admit that both Joel's as well as Chris' stories weren't as entertaining as Ruth-Ann and Maurice's (except for the "sitting contest", which made me laugh), but, as I previously said, this is Ruth-Anne's episode. A long expected one.
