Leonard: Maybe this is white magic, movies. They do say they're magic. It seems to have healed you. Ed: Yeah, my stomach feels better. But soon, the movie will be over.

Leonard: (after Chris "explains" urban legends) How does the rise of capitalism explain the one about the woman in the VW?

Leonard: I have clients in the white community. People are starting to assimilate.

Leonard: Are you aware of (Paul Bunyan)'s influence on your daily life? Holling: I have gone for years without thinking about him.

Ruth-Anne: Tell him to stay clear of the truck and we'll get there when we can.

Joel: I watched my truck go up in a mushroom cloud because the fire department was rescuing some goat! Ruth-Anne: Charlemagne is the Monetts' last milk goat!

Joel: Are you saying you wouldn't go in a burning building with me? What's that supposed to mean?

Joel: This is Dr. Fleischman on Main Street. My truck is on fire. (pause) Yes, it is definitely an emergency!

Joel: My scholarship said nothing about putting out fires. It was the one thing not in the fine print.

Joel: You know what I'm saying? Ruth-Anne: You're saying no.

Maurice: You run a couple of rolls of film, and bingo you've got a trinket business.

Maurice: What do you think of that? Ed: It's the alphabet. Maurice: No, it's typefaces!

Maurice: What do you know about stress? You're not doing anything!

Maurice: I want to hear you starting to use words like advertising, distributor, indie!

Maurice: Ed, do you have any idea what time it is? Ed: Late?

Maurice: (about film festivals) Telluride, Colorado has one. Sarasota, Florida has one-two places I wouldn't stop to take a leak in.

Peter Bogdanovich: Are you sure the B&B is on this road? Ed: Yeah, it's not much farther. Peter Bogdanovich: Do you get a lot of wolves around here? Ed: Wolves don't really attack people.

Maggie: You're not a team player. Joel: I am a private person. New Yorkers are like that. It comes from living in an overpopulated, crime-infested island. We like our space.
