    Originally I was kind of skeptical of the series. There wasn't a lot shown in the preview and being that there is never anything shot in Oregon I wasn't sure how big a deal this would be. Absolute Zero was defiantly a pilot. I would have like things to have had it move a little quicker but once I realized that the show was meant to be more of a drama then an action show it made sense. The premise was and still is unique, and will make a great series on DVD.moreless

    Solid pilot. Interesting that Tobe Hooper whose mostly looked as a horror director did this. A fine introduction to the show. This episode sets the tone, style, and substance for the show to follow.



    This wouldn't be a silly, over the top, Hollywood production with lots of explosions. There is action on the show but it is a program pushed by strong acting, suspense, dialogue and will.



    Bruce Greenwood does a great job here. He does not yet realize how powerful the picture he took of an incident called "Hidden Agenda" will change his life.



    The show doesn't waste any time in showing how a hidden organization will do anything to intimidate Tom into delivering his negatives.



    They take away his wife, his job, and his identity. Greenwood is great as the guy who will not give up and surrender to this group of corrupt officials.



    Michael Tucker is also great as Dr. Bellamy, the mad psychologist who puts Veil in an insane asylum. It turns out that Veil is quite sane. As Bellamy uncovers the fact that Bellamy is involved in this conspiracy he realizes he must his move.



    This is a solid introduction to the show. Greenwood was great here. I don't think too many other actors could have pulled out the role.moreless

    I've been waiting to see this show for a long time and now that it's finally on DVD I got my wish and I was not disappointed with this episode.



    I'm a fan of The Prisoner and thought this show might be a sort of bastard child and it kind of is.



    It may be hard to imagine how someone's identity can be buggered in the time it takes to have a smoke in the bathroom, but that's not the point.



    As the writer says in the commentary, the show was meant to be anthology and the show wasn't meant to give the viewer all the answers.



    It's a damn shame the show ran on UPN. I never got to see it the first time out and I'm guessing by it's cancellation, that neither did many others.



    How unfortunate that the major networks pick up crap and great stuff like this slips by.



    I enjoyed it and if you're curious, you should check it out.
