Tom's nightmare is over. He's suddenly the star witness for a federal investigation into the Organization. He's reunited with Alyson. He's on the way to mending his relationship with his mother. And all just in time for Christmas. All he has to do is turn over the negatives to corroborate his testimony.
Things begin to seem a little fishy when the agents assigned to protect him leave the safehouse before Tom gets the negatives. Wouldn't it have been a good idea to keep him under guard until the negatives are retrieved? What if the Organization is watching, as they seemed to be when he took the agent's car, leading to a desperate chase, which ends with his pursuer crashing and (maybe) burning.
In the end, it turns out to be an elaborate game. We're left with the question, how deeply involved are Alyson and Mrs. Veil?
To me, this is one of the best episodes of the series to this point. Things seem to be great, until the twist at the end.moreless
