Something About Her
AIRED:
Classified as the unknown enemy's first priority, the elusive Veil is apprehended and submitted into a chemically-induced hallucinatory state in which his attackers have complete control over his sense of time and space. While he's within their "lab" setting, they employ actors and elaborate sets to convince Veil he's been in a loving relationship with a woman to whom he'll soon divulge the sought after information.moreless

  • Veil is captured and is brainwashed into believing he has a life with a girl named Karin.

    10
All comparison to the Prisoner aside, this is a great episode.

Brainwashing mind you isn't limited to just one show. Veil is captured by the organization. However, instead of a brute approach into making him hand them the negatives, the organization tries brainwashing.

Brainwashing is a common by government to make people hand over vital information and mold them into new identities. This then can't be seen as plagiarism as the ideas have been done over since the beginning of time.

Veil sedated doesn't figure out that his been brainwashing making this a really interesting episode.

Carrie Anne Moss was great. She guest starred in a lot of shows like Forever Knight. Even before the Matrix would make her a recognized star, she already proved herself as a competent actress.

She and Greenwood have great chemistry together.moreless
  • Another The Prisoner variant episode.

    8.5
A well done episode but reminded me a lot of The Prisoner episode entitled The Schizoid Man although not as blantant a rip off as Turnabout was of The Chimes of Big Ben.

One flaw of the plot was him looking at his watch and seeing the inscription. You would think that the people holding him would have gone through his personal belongings a bit better.

And if they had gone through his personal belongings better, they probably would have found the negative hidden in his belt.

Carrie Ann Moss in a wet t-shirt doesn't hurt the episode.moreless
