The Spider Webb is the episode that, aside from the pilot, did the most to get me hooked on Nowhere Man during the show's original run. Like the best episodes in the series, the premise is simple and intriguing. The acting from the supporting cast is great (Richard Kind is especially good and perfectly devious as Max Webb) except when it's intended to be otherwise (the show within the show is hilariously cheesy). The episode has a fantastic look, a solid plot, a great script and the action flows well.
But perhaps the best part of The Spider Webb is how it explores one of Tom's greatest flaws, which is also one of his greatest assets: his superhuman, blind determination to find out what happened to his life and why.moreless
