    Hey all~

Here's the thread to discuss tonight's episode, "36 Hours". It looks amazing! And it sounds by the commercials like maybe David gets injured...getting close to mid-season break here, guys...you never know!

    Sound out here:

    Thanks!

As a resident of CA, I found this show barely watchable. I am very glad that David made the announcement before the show. It was like watching the news. Talk about life imitating art! It was to realistic for me! Kudos to all the rescue crews in L.A. that dealt with the real crash.

Was this supposed to be aired earlier in the season? I ask because Charlie was wearing the LAPD ID badge. I like the ending with Charlie watching Amita and Don.

However, Charlie's emotions were a bit over the top for my taste. Overall, I thought it was the best episode since High Exposure.

hey guys, i am baaack (i know, you didn't even miss me LoL) this epi was not a usual numb3rs epi. it shows how difficult it is to determine, after an accident like that, the situation. you have to wait and come up with a proper solution otherwise, stupid and blind going in might cause more casulties. what i really liked was that there was no "sparkling math explanation" in that episode... in the end - did charlie really envisioned don when he was "daydreaming" the final clue (about the weight of the train?)

and since colby said the words - lost causes, i thought that would have been that re-scheduled episode, now even re-named... or am i that wrong or have i mixed the facts? sometimes i get crazy, a little bit LOL

Wow, this was an amazing episode! Its one of those that sets Numb3rs apart from all the other shows out there. Perfect in my opinion. I was so glad that it wsn't the poor tired man's fault, I felt so bad for him! The team was incredible, all of them working like a well oiled machine. It was very interesting watching David blow up at Charlie! I loved the part at the end when Don smashed the guys head into the van door and then told Nikki not to do that. The end was so sweet, everyone resting, another perfecvt ending!

I think it was supposed to be shown earlier in the season, but the producers didn't want to air the episode around the time of the actual incident. The episode was very powerful and I do agree it was heartwrenching to watch it.

*Nods* It was meant to be shown earlier, but postponed due to the crash. All of the acting in this episode was absolutely superb. Usually I try to copy down the memorable quotes, but this time I could only find one, near the beginning - the rest of the awesomeness was in the acting, not the script.

I also felt so bad for the switchboard guy... I liked him a lot better than the corporation guys. His comment at the end must have been the absolute WORST slap in the face/kick in the gut for Don, though. Good for him for trying to make Nikki better than himself, that's good character. The ending was kind of sweet with everyone sleeping from exhaustion, but I think Magic Show holds the title for "sweetest ending" for me. I don't think that one can be topped

I agree that the spat between David and Charlie was rather abnormal, but emotions were obviously running high AND they were COMPLETELY exhausted. It was kind of interesting to see the interaction between David and Colby, too. It made Colby look lazy and David way too high-strung (which he was, in the episode), but of which are not always true, but when put up against each other seems... Really bad for Colby. But hey, maybe that 30 minute nap is what gave him the extra energy to offer to drive David home at the end

Well, that's the end of my commentary... Until next week!

Ditto on feeling sorry for the switchboard guy, with two jobs, seven kids and a wife with lupus - how unlucky is that? It's never lupus.

Don't know which comment you're referring to at the end so now I'm going to have to watch it again. Shame.

Also loved Don's comment to Nikki, especially after chewing her out earlier in the ep.

Beginning to get a bit concerned about Don's dissatisfaction with the FBI though. Obviously he can't leave or there'd be no show, but he really seemed like he wanted to jack it all in at the beginning. And I don't think these events will have helped in that regard, especially as it was all down to greed and stupidity. I don't know if Don's attitude is affecting the team but even David and Colby seemed down at the start. Or perhaps its my perception of Don's weariness colouring the following scene and the boys were just tired.

If you don't catch it the second time, feel free to PM me.

Hmm, I guess Larry was missing... So that makes 3 "regulars" missing this time. Usually it's only two. Oh well... And I agree that it looked like Don in the dream, but to me it looked like he stopped just before running him over (it was the stopping that was his clue). Don't know why it was Don, if it was, but I'm sure there's some deep meaning out there somewhere.
