Scientific Jury Selection and Social Networking Potential
When Charlie runs the test on his laptop to see who would be the key jurors to turn the rest of the jury, it shows the names in different orders. Initially it runs: 1. Linda Parker; 2. Roy Detchemendy; 3. Brian Callier; 4. David Johnson with jurors 5 thru 12 as Next juror. A second later the list reads as: 1. Alissa Kyria; 2. Linda Parker (which matches the hit he has); 3. Ashlee Blandings. Another second later the list reads the same as the first time, and the final listing reads: 6. Sara Lewis; 7. Rafael Lima; 8. Roy Detchemendy; (again, to match the hit he has) 9. Jordan Melvoin.
Colby: Well, in twenty minutes I aspire to be picking up a delivery.
David: The sandwich girl?
Colby: Hey, if Roast Beef works that's what I am.
Robin: We don't know what, if anything Logan did with the information that he obtained from the system.
Don: Charlie's all over it.
Robin: Well I can't go to the judge with an equation.
Don: Yeah, welcome to my life!
Alan: Whenever I wanted the boys to open up and tell me what was on their mind, I used to bribe them with ice cream.
Robin: Oh yeah? What do you do now?
Alan: Actually, ice cream still works.
Alan: Now you are trying to use math to prevent crime. Is that realistic, Charlie?
Charlie: Don't know. But I feel like I've been putting band-aids on bullet holes. I want to find a way to stop the bullet.
Colby: Can I ask you something?
Colby: Do I seem like a Roast Beef kinda guy to you?
David: I won't discuss another man's meat.
Colby: You're a court clerk, you don't keep an eye on operations here?
Court Clerk: I keep an eye out for problems and JuryFind on Speed Dial. Their technicians are the only ones with clearance to access this system.
David: Any problems lately?
Court Clerk: Let's see. It always summons people who hate jury duty.

Alan Eppes: Was it developed by 12 angry mathematicians?
This is a reference to the 1954 Studio One episode, "Twelve Angry Men", written by Reginald Rose and directed by Franklin Schaffner, with Bob Cummings as Juror #8. It was later adapted for the big screen in the 1957 Sidney Lumet film, 12 Angry Men, starring Henry Fonda as Juror #8. Still considered an American classic in all its forms, the story surrounds a murder trial where a man's life depends upon one juror convincing the rest of the jury that the accused man is innocent. Although, unlike here, right is on the side of Juror #8.
