Alan Eppes: Was it developed by 12 angry mathematicians?
This is a reference to the 1954 Studio One episode, "Twelve Angry Men", written by Reginald Rose and directed by Franklin Schaffner, with Bob Cummings as Juror #8. It was later adapted for the big screen in the 1957 Sidney Lumet film, 12 Angry Men, starring Henry Fonda as Juror #8. Still considered an American classic in all its forms, the story surrounds a murder trial where a man's life depends upon one juror convincing the rest of the jury that the accused man is innocent. Although, unlike here, right is on the side of Juror #8.
