## Trivia

• ### Season 3 Episode 24: The Janus List

• When David visits Dwayne alone at the prison, the US flag filling the screen has 48 stars, so it is pre-1959.

• Math used in this episode:
Bacon's Cipher
The Wheat and Chessboard Problem
Knapsack Algorithm

• The license plate on David's red Jeep is 5WHGO61.

• This is the first time we see a Don vision when he sees the G major scale pattern on the bombs on the bridge.

• Opening Numb3rs:
6 BUGS
7 BOMBS
8 QUESTIONS
2 DAYS TO LIVE

• Charlie cited 2^64-1 as being 18,446,744,073,799,551,615 but it is actually 18,446,744,073,709,551,615; by changing one digit, he added 90 million. Charlie did not detect the error and wrote it correctly on the wall later, so it was probably just a mistake on David's Krumholtz's part while reading out the number, perhaps because it was hand-written so the zero looked like a nine.

• ### Season 3 Episode 23: Money for Nothing

• Frank Tibbet was shot in the shoulder by one of the mercenaries, but later on when he is apprehended in the hideout he appears unaffected by it.

• If Liz has only been in the FBI for four years, Don could not have been her instructor at Quantico. Don worked in Quantico after Fugitive Recovery, and after Quantico he worked in Albuquerque, and for the past five years he has been working out of L.A.

• Math used in this episode:
Dijkstra's Algorithm
Greedy Algorithm
Study of Microcredit and Micro-loans

• Liz is 1/16 degree Cherokee Indian, and has been with the FBI for four years.

• Opening Numb3rs:
710,000 ZAMBIAN ORPHANS
50 MILLION U.S. Dollars
4 TEAMS
1 TRUCK

• ### Season 3 Episode 22: Under Pressure

• Math used in this episode:
Social Network Analysis

• Opening Numb3rs:
16 EXTREMISTS
7200 MILES OF PIPE
2.3 PARTS PER MILLION
1 COORDINATED ATTACK

• ### Season 3 Episode 21: The Art of Reckoning

• When Charlie encounters Larry, he asks about the set of knotted strings draped around his neck. Larry refers to it as an "Aztec quipu" and says it was used in Tenochtitlan (the capital of the Aztec empire). Quipus, however, were used by the Incas of the Andes Mountains of South America, not the Aztecs of Mexico.

• Larry got his first telescope when he was three. When he was in fifth grade, he was president of the rocket club, and when he was in high school, he was a docent at the planetarium.

• Larry was in space four months and twelve days.

• Math used in this episode:
Equivalent Retaliation Protocol

• At the beginning of the episode, as Amita and Charlie walk into the campus, they look high up at the sky and apparently see the rocket from which Larry is landing from. The next scene, as they enter their office, the rocket, as shown on the TV, is already safe and running on the runway.

100 BILLION NEURONS
