Chicken Soup was a really superb episode of Nurse Jackie and I enjoyed watching this very entertaining episode because there was a lot of touching moments, humor, and character and plot development. It was a lot of fun watching Zoey trying to get her stethoscope back from O'Hara. I also thought the story about the old man and his wife's chicken soup was really cool and definitely touches viewers. Nurse Jackie and Coop continue their awkward interactions as Eddie is faced with some bad news. This series is so fresh and an ER type of show I can really get into. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!moreless

This is an other good episode that goes deeper into the main characters of the series. Jackie is really conducting a balancing act between work/home, two men, the two children and her patients. Zoey and Mo-Mo are great supporting acts however Coop is not there yet. He could become a leading part of this series although he now acts as a lost puppy sometimes. Dr O'Hara should get her own show as her life or the part we see, is hilariously shallow. Nice to see Mrs. Akalitus being her old self again after getting a little high in the previous episode.moreless

    • Jackie: I think Grace is starting to unravel a little bit. It's scaring the shit out of me.
Dr. O'Hara: If you need anything, and I mean anything, you'd better bloody tell me or I will kill you.
      Jackie: Yes.
Dr. O'Hara: And then she'll be motherless. And then I'll have to take her.
      Jackie: Oh God.

    • Dr. O'Hara: Okay, hypothetical.
      Jackie: Go.
Dr. O'Hara: Eddie and your husband decide to become friends.
      Jackie: You know what...
Dr. O'Hara: Not finished. Eddie and your husband become friends and the Titanic is sinking and only one of them gets to survive. Which one?
Jackie: You know, you're really a very mean-spirited woman.

    • (Mrs. Zimberg feeds her husband chicken soup)
      Mrs. Zimberg: Chicken soup.
Jackie: Chicken soup. Is that what was in that bag?
      Mrs. Zimberg: Smell.
      Jackie: That smells good.
Mr. Zimberg: Yes, it is. It's kept me alive two years longer than any doctor predicted. It's all I need.
Mrs. Zimberg: The doctor that told Bernie he had less than six months to live, he's dead.
Mr. Zimberg: Hit by a bus.
      Mrs. Zimberg: Crosstown M14.
Mr. Zimberg: They're nice buses, if you have to get hit by a bus.
Mrs. Zimberg: You could do worse.

    • Zoey: Hi.
Jackie: Please don't say hi every time you see me, okay? Once a week is plenty. In fact, if you go five days without saying hi, I will buy you a metro card.
