Eddie must feel like a prize idiot after spending a year with Jackie only to now follow her home after a few weeks after learning she has a kid. If I was Eddie, I would have followed her a long time ago.

Zoey is off the floor for putting a patient in a coma after giving them a higher dose of antibiotic than they could handle. An interesting story line as Akalitus is seemingly interested romantically in the movie reviewer patient that Zoey put into a coma. Akalitus puts Zoey and Jackie under review adding more stress to her character but is relieved when Akalitus gets trapped in a broken elevator. She gets a little cabin fever and took away from the story line. Didn't do anything for me.

Story line in this episode took a step backwards with Akalitus and went forwards with Eddie and Jackie's husband meeting each other at the bar. Eddie stirs it up a little bit with Jackie's husband by asking details about Jackie's personal life. He shows up drunk at the hospital and Jackie falls apart emotionally, with no drugs to keep her sane. Some of the better acting that I've seen from Edie in the entire series.

Cooper has become more childlike in a whimsy over Jackie which doesn't bode well with his character in the series. He has become involved romantically and it doesn't suit him. He should definitely become a bigger rival with Jackie, which would lend more to the dynamic of the plot line than to have Jackie keep kissing him all the time turning him into a confused little boy.

I haven't mentioned Momo in any of my reviews but he's definitely a great supporting character. He lends a great shoulder for Jackie to lean on and lends a great dynamic to the show. He finds out that Coop has a thing for Jackie.

O'hara brings her mum in from England and breaks the law to get a look at her to make sure she's okay. Jackie isn't there to cope with O'hara's emotions as she breaks down also giving a great emotional performance.

All in all, this season was interesting and it kept me wondering a few times. Somewhat predictable but the characters are realistic and tragic with a dark humor scattered throughout. It's like a comedic Dexter. I'll be looking forward to the next season in anticipation that a few of the supporting characters become more enriched and we learn more about their lives to add a new dynamic to the series.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • After taking morphine, Jackie is heard singing "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The same song plays during the closing credits.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Mrs. Akalitus: (talking to Mr. Nutterman who is in a coma) I've never been a fan of mives where idiots talk to people in comas. Would you consider signing something clearing All Saints of any neglect or malfeasance? Just a thought.

    • Jackie: What's up with your scrubs?
      Zoey: They're gray.
Jackie: Yes, I can see that. I don't like them.
Zoey: I don't like them either that's why I'm wearing them.
Jackie: That's not a good reason.
Zoey: I'm wearing them as a sign of remorse.
Jackie: Yeah, I get it, I get it, Zoey.

    • Zoey: What if he wakes up and the first thing he sees is me wearing kiddy scrubs. He'll think I don't take what happened seriously.
Thor: What if he never wakes up?
      Zoey: Hey.
Mo-mo: What if he wakes up but he's blind, what about the rest of us. We're stuck watching you mope around in gray.

    • Dr. O'Hara: Did I mention that tonight round about tennish I'm going to break the law?
Jackie: If you did, I missed it.
Dr. O'Hara: Well, I am and I need your help.
Jackie: I would expect no less.

    • Dr. O'Hara: I'm having my mother shipped in from London.
Jackie: Much like a pair of shoes.
Dr. O'Hara: If you're waiting for me to unleash a veil of tears, you'll be old and gray without a tooth in your head.
      Jackie: Huh, nice visual.

    • Mo-mo: Akalitus called from the elevator again, wants to know if the repair guys are here yet.
      Jackie: Tell her yes.
      Mo-mo: Are they?
      Jackie: No.

    • Jackie: Mortuary school, wow.
EMT: Yeah, I'm just tired of people yelling at me while I'm trying to save them.
      Jackie: Yeah, I hear you.

    • Zoey: (talking about Mr. Nutterman) Oh my God, I broke him.
