(Nick pounding on door, Hannah answers and steps outside) Hannah: Nick, what are you doing here? Nick: Everything about this place reminds me about my mother, everything, her memory haunted it all and when I left here and put some distance between myself and the Ridge it got easier, but just the thought of me coming back here, the pain of it kept me away its indefensible I know, but I was a kid, but I was grieving, and I was dumb, I lost my way. Hannah: Okay, Nick, please... Nick: (interrupts) What I remember, is you barefoot in your prom dress pumping gas into my truck laughing beneath the lipstick sky, remember that? Hannah: Mmhh, I hated that truck. Nick: Look those years are gone, and I didn't plan on coming back here, and causing you any pain, but I didn't expect on meeting Sam, and I didn't expect to have these feeling for you, look the moment I saw you ten years later, it was just so obvious, whether I am Sam's father or not or whether its this Gavin Goddard guy that you speak of, no coming back here the only thing that matters is that is that I want you guys in my life, I can see that now, I guess what it comes down to is maybe you really do only get one shot, maybe that's the only unreasonable beauty of things.
