Yeah, so how outstanding is this show? Honestly this has easily become one of my favorite shows. This has been the best episode yet, and it just seems like this show is getting better, episode by episode. This episode was just really intense, and things are heating up for October Road, and it shows, especially with the final scene of the episode. From Hannah slapping Owen in the face because of the peanut reaction to Hannah's ex finding out about David & Allison's affairs behind Owen's back.

This was just a very pivotal episode of October Road. Do not miss this installment, considering this is October Road at its best. The cold opening was absolutely amazing, with the fast cuts and flashes. This show has always impressed me, but this was just absolutely terrific.

Pizza Girl getting tormented by the fraternity wasn't as interesting in the main plot, but for the most part I've liked Phil & Pizza Girl's relationship, it was good development. Nick with the old man was just a perfect tie in to the main focus of the episode.

Eddie & Janet conversing was also something all of us fans wanted to see. The idea of Nick being Sam's father is still up in the air, and I can't wait for the explosive finale of October Road. People, watch this show!moreless

I love the scenes between Nick and Hannah in this episode. It is so obvious that the two are still in love and Mr. Bolivar sees it. I love how he was talking about how his wife's eyes were gray when he wasn't in the room, so sweet. I also loved the background story of the crutches Nick and Eddie made for Hannah when she broke her ankle in highschool. She said she loved leaning on them just because Nick made them for her. That was so sweet. I felt so bad for Physical Phil, he was just trying to help Pizza Girl and defend her honor and it turned out disastorous. He and Eddie have both "lost" their possibilities, but this was a great scene between the two of them. Then we come to when Hannah leans on Nick once again by taking his hand to help her walk down the hallway to Sam's room, such touching moment between the two. I love how Nick was the one to get Mr. Bolivar to face the world and then Mr. Bolivar said that he has never seen Hannah's eyes when Nick is not in the room, and they may be gray, the love is still there. Right after that we have the hugs for sale scene between Nick and his dad, I admit I teared up, this was a crying episode that was for sure. Once again October Road delivers a great performance!moreless

Wow. This episode really blew me away. All fans of dramatical episodes shouldn't miss this one. The bond between people, the secrets that are about to be revealed, and the love hidden deep in people made this episode into what it is.

The hospital drama was very interesting, and the best part of it was Mr Bolivar, the old man who is yet another in the series of wise guys on the show. A lot of people are talking like experienced writers. Anyway, his story was sad and it fit well with Nick and Hannah's thing. Aubrey, who is one of my favorites, is hurt again by the fact that the bond between Nick and Hannah is too strong. Nick is in a very interesting threesome and I can't wait to see how it will resolve. I don't like seeing Aubrey hurt. She is a great girl. And if Nick still feels the strong bond with Hannah, then he should let Aubrey find the real person for her. I can already see the future, and the mistakes some of these characters will make.

Janet and Eddie weren't that interesting. Janet shouldn't give Eddie a chance to do this. They are talking, he is ashamed of her, and yet she doesn't push him far away. I guess Janet is a very generous person. I like those kind of people. The Commander, or Bob Garrett, is also an interesting person who has finally realized he needs to be close with his son again. He seemed really hurt, and I'm glad to see him OK again.

Also, the Pizza Girl thing was OK, yet it wasn't the highlight of the episode. However, I enjoyed it and can't wit to see more. Ikey and Alison finally stopped. But, of course, someone caught them in their last kiss. That was cheesy, but I expected this to happen. And who was the person? Of course, Ray Cataldo. This should make the next episode very interesting. I can't wait to see how it will go.moreless
  • Nick and Hannah are at the hospital waiting for news on Sam.

This was a really sad episode. I felt really bad for both Nick and Hannah but mostly Hannah because her son is in the hospital and there is nothing she could do but wait to hear something from the doctors. I really like that their was the guy in the waiting room (i cannot remember his name) but i thought that his presents was great. I likeed the things he said to everyone and Aubrey. I was happy that Nick was able to get the guy from the waiting room to leave the hospital and that Nick and his father seem to be bonding again. I thought that it was very funny to see Owen go and fight the frat boys but I thought that the outcome of his visit was bad for Phil.moreless
  • This show, seems to get better every episode.

Beginning where they last left us, showing a piece of it, when Sam falls off his bike in front of a vehicle from having an attack. He is now in the hospital and no one knows if he is going to make it or not, feeling helpless and hurt, from knowing deep down that Sam is possibly his son, Nick begins to regret ever leaving for the city. Missing ten years of his possible sons life, and may not get a second chance kills him inside. Eddie and Janet drive over to Hannah's house to find a stuffed walrus for Sam when he wakes up; and have a talk about what just happened, between them. Owen figures out that he is to blame for what has happened to Sam and confronts Hannah about it. When the doctor finally says that Sam is out of surgery, Nick and Hannah storm into the hall, without listening to the nurses about the rules of family only. On their way, she grabs a hold of Nick's hand still showing their true feelings for one another. Nick after seeing Sam lying in bed, just fine, stay's outside and lets Hannah sit next to her little boy. Meanwhile, Aubrey finds out that it is still possible that Nick and Hannah do still have feelings for one another, and that she doesn't stand a chance with Nick. Ray finds out about the affair between Owen's wife and brother and now knows that he is just a step closer in ruining Nick's life and chasing him out of town for good.moreless

    • Janet: Hannah told me, that you'd come by every now and then, took Sam to Little League try-outs. Every time a new StarWars movie comes out you take him to see it.
Eddie: Well, the kid hasn't got a dad, that's all.
Janet: You know, Nick thinks he is Sam's dad.
Eddie: Yeah, I kind of always thought so, too.
Janet (nods): Which is why you come around!

    • Chug: Hi, my name's Chug and I was wondering if I could borrow a cup of sugar for some Grain Alcohol we're making.
Physical Phil: Wow! People still do that? I mean a neighbor asking to borrow some sugar, how cool!

    • (Pizza Girl runs through door soaking wet obviously very upset)
Physical Phil: Have you been drinking?
Pizza Girl: (sarcastic) Yes, because this is how I drink!
      Physical Phil: What happened?
Pizza Girl: I just went over to the frat house to deliver pizza but it turns out they didn't want the pizza. They grabbed me and passed me around like a trophy, they howled and then one grabbed my boob!
Physical Phil: Wait, they grabbed your boob and howled?
Pizza Girl Yes, but I gave them some too, I kicked one guy in the acorns and then ran over here.

    • Nick: If anything happens to him the fact that I missed out on his last ten years...
The Commander: Missing out on ten years with your son? Nothing easy about that...

    • (Mr.Bolivar talking to Nick)
Mr. Bolivar: Have you ever seen the color of her eyes when you're not in the room?

    • Janet: (while holding one eyed-stuffed walrus) Leave it to Sam to name a stuffed walrus after the greatest Italian conductor of his time.

    • Hannah: (to Nick; while waiting for the outcome of Sam's surgery) Did you ever miss me?

    • The Commander: I've got hugs for sale.
      Nick: How much?
The Commander: This one's free but the next one I'll be charging double.
      (Nick and his dad hug.)
