  • The season starts by continuing the drama of last season and once again, leaves you wanting more. Jaw-dropping ending...well, kinda.

I loved this episode. It started out pretty normal, not that much drama, but as it prolonged, it got more intense. Beginning with the whole trip to New York, and already being in New York. I also love the frenemy/love-hate relationship between Nick and Eddie. AND how Amiquay was seducing Eddie, and he decided to go and give Janet a ring. That was just SO sweet. One of the things I like the most from this show is Eddie and Nick's relationship. There's this tension between them, but they have each other's back--no matter what. An example of which is that scene where Nick and Eddie have this "face-off" with Big Boy Brett. After the whole discussion they had earlier, Eddie had Nick's back. And another thing, I hate Ray Cataldo, he has this way of just ruining your mood. That's why I give this episode a 9.7 instead of a 10. I hope that him and Hannah don't get back together anytime soon, or EVER. What goes on with her, anyway? She's totally confusing. She leaves Ray for Nick, and now that she knows Nick still loves her, she goes and makes some sort of connection with Ray. The last scene with Eddie and Hannah is so open-ended. You think it's one thing, but then you realize that it could mean so may other things. I was really shocked at the end cause the first thought that came to my mind was that Eddie might be Sam's father, but when I watched it again and listed to how he said what he did, there is a possibility that it could be something else. It's amazing, intense, and dramatic. In every episode of this series so far, I remember each time why i love it so much.moreless

This episode was lackluster in ways but we got a great payoff in the end which made me realize that we've come to a point where we care about the characters, and we care about what happens to them, and that was the case here. With Owen coming back to his family, Eddie & Janet having a relationship, Nick & Hannah falling in love with each other all over again or Ikey & Allison's reputation. We've just got so much things that were enticing about this episode. Was anyone else upset that the cold opening was a dream? It was quite predictable when Hannah came running to Nick's house to kiss him, at that point, you knew it was a dream. This episode seemed off because of Nick & Eddie in New York. Everyone was living their lives in Knight Ridge which while Nick & Eddie were starting club fights to get Owen back home.

We've got such a great cliffhanger that could mean a number of things. It definitely could mean that Eddie is Sam's father (i.e. That's why he hung around in season 1). Sometimes when I'm watching this show, it just feels like I'm reading a really intriguing book rather than an intense drama on ABC, but that is definitely compliment for the most part. Overall a lot of possibilities for the new season. This show may be short lived, but the story lines remain original and interesting. Good premiere of October Road.moreless

I loved this episode. I loved how Eddie hadn't forgiven Nick completely but he was starting too. I think it is great that no matter how mad the guys are at eachother, they are there for eachother and have eachothers backs. Eddie doesn't allow Big Boy Brett to beat the crap out of Nick. I think that shows exactly what a stand up guy Eddie realy is. I love the conversation between Eddie, Nick, Owen where Nick says "Owen Rowan, to meddle is to give a damn!". That might be my favorite line of this episode. I got really excited in the beginning when I thought that Hannah and Nick were actually kissing, til I realized they were in NY and I was an idiot. This dream showed just how much Hannah still loves Nick, which is why I couldn't understand why she went back to Big Cat. Then we find out that Eddie and Hannah have a secret at the very end of the episode. Wonder what that secret could be.moreless

I thought the comeback episode was very good. The drama didn't give me a soap oprah feel, which I got in the couple of episodes last season which was kind of a turn off. The show picked right up where it left off, which I liked a lot. I didnt feel behind with the long hiatus waiting for the show to come back. My one big grip with the episode would be that at times the dialouge felt really forced, to the point where you could really tell that it was a script. Scripts are supposed to come off as opposite of what they are, but there were a few scenes in there that didnt feel very October Roadish. I thought the last couple of minutes were really good, best of the series I think. Just a lot of character devolopment, friendship devolopment and even a little bit of mystery there at the end with Eddie going to see Hannah and telling her that they need to tell nick something. The big thing would obviously be that Eddie is the father of the little boy, which would create a whole lot of drama if no one else knows. Overall, solid episode and I cant wait to watch the next one.moreless

October Road is back, the show that critics hate, but fans seem to love. Kinda' like a teen drama, without the teens and actually a bearable plot!

AS the title states, Nick and Eddie are going all the way to The Big Apple to get Owen back. Owen was hilarious wearing his hideous shirt and partying with the girls, it just wasn't Owen. Eddie meets someone new, but she was no Janet (a good thing?) Nick on the other hand gets judged by nearly everyone.

Hannah... oh Hannah, you are just one confused girl aren't you? Ah well... I hope for your sake, you do not end up with Ray... Nick really is perfect for you. And as for that line at the end, who knew you were such a naughty girl Hannah!

    • When Eddie and Nick arrive at the club in New York, Big Boy Brett spots them. He says "Edward Albert Latekka" when he first sees Eddie but then introduces him to his friends as "Edward James Latekka." Later on again, when the guys are starting to argue he calls him "Edward Thomas Latekka". Obviously none of those names can be considered Eddie's real middle name. Edit
