Wow, why did this show get canceled? This show has a great heartwarming feature too it, and I just can't believe this series was so short lived. We've got intriguing characters, subtle humor, and just great cinematography.

I don't even know where to begin with this episode with the multiple plots. Nick helping out Sam get a girl doesn't sound like the most intriguing story line, but I just love how everything manages to tie up with the past.

We even have a love triangle emerging between Nick, Hannah and Aubrey. I'm glad Hannah broke it off with that guy, looking forward to see his payback against Nick. I have a feeling October Road is prepping up for an explosive finale.

The Maybe Date was just okay, I mean we learn that Eddie sees Janet as a friend, nothing more, but by the end, he asks her out again. Their friendship is interesting though. Phil and the pizza girl are cute, hoping to see more of them soon.

I kind of wanted Nick & Aubrey just to be intellectual friends but I guess the kiss changes everything now. So we got a lot of development tonight, and every episode seems better than the last. Superb episode tonight, I really do love this show.moreless

This is where things start to get really exciting. I love the Nick and Sam and Hannah scenes in this episode. The scene in the office with the 3 of them, makes you believe they really are a "family", a very cute little family. I love when they are describing how when someone is nervous they devolve into a nervous giggle, and then Nick devolves into a nervous giggle, so cute, I loved it. I felt so bad for Janet in the restaurant when she thought Eddie took her to a place to keep her hidden so he wouldn't be seen with her by anybody he knows, and she was so wrong. The scene where they rock the stadium of Amanda's heart at pumpkinfest. Love to see more airband scenes with Sam, so great!moreless

    "Great"
After two so-so normal episodes, we finally get a more interesting episode. I liked how Sam and Nick connected in this episode. The kid was just a normal kid trying to get a lady, and Nick was just acting as a 'father figure' to Sam. That must be the reason why he hadn't figured out that his technique might not work. It's a good conclusion. I wouldn't like the end if the girl actually loved what Sam did. Who would ever do something so soon?

Hannah and Janet are great friends, and we can see how connected they are through their conversations. However, although I respect Laura Prepon a lot, sometimes I don't feel her character. But the ending made sure it would all change. She ended whatever she had with Ray. Ray will most definitely be a great villain in the future.

Janet and Eddie. He was nice to her, she was suspicious, but it all turned out great. However, I don't see how Eddie will change. He needs to learn a lot more. And that's probably why he could hurt poor Janet. I hope he won't, but I don't know yet. Also, Physical Phil finally got a story too. It's interesting, and we'll see what happens.moreless

  • Nick helps Sam to try to get a girl.

I thought that this was a really good episode. I really liked that Nick was going to help Sam get the girl that he likes by rockin the staduim of his heart the same way he got Hannah to like him. I thought that it was really funny to see Big Cat as they call him, get wooried about Nick returning to town and stealing Hannah away from him. I was really happy to learn at the end of the episode that Hannah left him but gave him every excuse but the real one. I felt bad for Sam that the girl he like did not enjoy the performance.moreless

    • Phil: No, that pizza had plenty of feta on it. I, I called you back because I was wondering if you'd like to go in sometime. Pizza Girl: Go in? Phil: It's like going out only you do it here. Pizza Girl: So... what they say is true? Phil: What do they say? Pizza Girl: You don't leave. Phil: Yes, it's true I don't. Pizza Girl: Mrs. Kesler told me. Phil: She did. I can't believed she narked. I, I... All those years I pretended to love those bunt cakes. Pizza Girl: She said, in this day and age when it's impossible to count on anyone... what could be better than knowing there's a guy who will always be there. Phil: She said that? Pizza Girl: She did. Edit
    • Nick: Was the girl impressed? Principal: Excuse me? Hannah: Nick! Nick: I'm just curious. If we're to assume that he did this to impress a girl, I think it'd be nice to know if it had the desired effect. Principal: I don't see how that... Hannah: Because if he did impress her he may be inclined to do it again. Nick: We need to know. Hannah: To dissuade him. Sam? Sam: I think it did impress her. She laughed and giggled. Hannah: A laugh and a giggle. Nick: Wait, wait. What's the difference? Principal: What? What difference? Nick: Between a laugh and a giggle. Sam: A giggle happens after you realized you've... Hannah: Laughed too much. It's a subconscious thing. Sam: Right! Hannah: You're embarrassed for laughing overtly so you devolve into a nervous giggle. Sam: Exactly! Principal: Excuse me! What are we doing here? Sam: And I do believe there was a blush. Hannah: A blush? Nick: Ah, now did you hear that principal Harrison? There was a blush. Principal: Yes, extraordinary. I'd like you all to leave my office now. Edit
