Whoah - didn't see that one coming. The episode continues the improvisational tone of the series by bringing mother fully into the conspiracy and mission to save the planet, only to immediately kill her off. This development certainly stirs up the mix, although it's arguable whether the mix really needed any more stirring! It does reinforce the sense of helplessness that the protagonists are feeling - the sense that the development of a time line is one part order and nine parts anarchy. Will our intrepid crew recover from this setback? Will they learn anything about how their impetuous ways are polluting the time stream? Stay tuned...moreless
