The doctors struggle to save a young pregnant couple endangered by a mudslide. Meanwhile Mina and Otis fight for life of a young man who was electrocuted by a live wire during the annual festival which caused a citywide blackout.

How sad that the Peace Corps couple who were having their first child, didn't get back to civilization in time. This resulted in complications during delivery, and even worse, the death of the young dad. It showcased the skills of all of the doctors; from the surgeons, who had to do a C-section, to the two "rookies" who tried, but could not save the baby's father. The other plot point, about the annual festival taking place, and the man who survived electrocution, was humorous; particularly because it had a happy ending. When Mina was able to find the girl the electrocution victim thought he would never see again - it brightened what would otherwise have been a dark episode. This show may get even better with time - here's hoping.moreless
