Episode Summary

In just over thirty years, Rosemount Estate has established itself as one of Australia’s leading wineries. In 1969, founder Bob Oatley established himself on 320 acres at Denman in the Upper Hunter Valley with the idea of breeding horses. However, it wasn’t long before he was growing grapes... Rosemount sells more than five million cases of Australian wine across the world. Initially, it built its reputation with the Diamond varietal range. Rosemount Estate also offers the Prestige Wine Collection. The fruit for these signature wines is sourced from across the country and reflects the best each region has to offer. Rosemount Estate also produces wine from the 200 acre Giant Creek vineyard located at the head of the Upper Hunter Valley. From this vineyard, Rosemount source their fruit for the Rosemount Estate Giants Creek chardonnay. The grapes are harvested early in the season from the lightly structured soil. Rosemount Estate’s flagship chardonnay, Roxburgh, also comes from vines grown in the Hunter Valley.moreless
