Omagh is a dramatic film that originally aired in June 2004 on RTE in Ireland and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. It consists of a single episode with a running time of 104 minutes. This film is a dramatization of the real bombing in Omagh, Northern Ireland that killed 29 people. It focuses on Michael Gallagher (Gerard McSorley) whose son Aidan (Paul Kelly) is one of the fatalies. Gallagher becomes the leader of the support group for the survivors and his relationship with his wife Patsy (Michele Forbes) becomes strained as he presses for answers about who is behind the bombing. Gallagher receives information on the bombings from anonymous sources that conflicts with the official version of events. This causes him to question the integrity of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, which is investigating the bombing. This film is directed by Pete Travis and produced by Greg Brenman. It is written by Paul Greengrass and Guy Hibbert.
