this isn't just one of the best Thanksgiving episodes of television ever...it is one of the best epidodes of any scripted television period! look at the attn to detail, how the writers take such care to include little behavioral details into the script. since it's Thanksgiving, it wouldn't be the holidays without some good old fashioned disfunction served up...it's as hard to resist as pumpkin pie and as performed by these pros, just as tasty. we're five or six episodes into the series, and already lily is someone we feel like we know and love...and we really root for her when she blows up at her parents. that whole "doing somethiing for myself for once" speech is so real and so raw, it's impossible to not tune in next week...and the week after that...and the week after that...a delight from start to finish...it is so well written and cast, it feels out of place on network television. thankfully, sela ward is recognized with the emmy for Best Actress that year...but really, the entire ensemble deserved a nod...delicious drama...seconds anyone?moreless
