I'll admit this episode is not easy for me to watch. There have been a of episodes that deal with this conept but very few that have done it right. It is always the last thing you would think would happen, but when it does happen it hits you emotionally hard.

This episode sort of hit a bit close to home, since I had a grandfather that suddenly got really sick, the emotions they all went throught were about the same as mine and a few of my family members. I really like certain moments with all of them every character was feeling the motions. Grace we see is in distress feeling it might have been her fault because she didn't see there was something wrong with her grandfather sooner but the truth of the matter is it's never anyone's fault there really was no way she could of see it happen, these things just happen. Lily and Judy just as much since they are losing their father. Their mother who is going to lose her husband. And suprising with Jake, there was one moment where Judy conforts him we actually see Jake crying because he feels he could be losing a father.

I even liked that monologue Rick said to Lily about loss of his father and what he felt and he is right, that fact other people had to endure loss doesn't make it easier or bearable it only makes it more painful and worse knowing that fact. The pacing of the episode also felt right because it was the same kind of speed I felt in that predicament where everything felt like it was moving slowly and that is what always got to me just the waiting, you know what's to come but there is just that small part of you wanting something good to happen but it doesn't and that's what hurts.

And of course we see the final confession and words from Phill and at the end of that I couldn't help but tear up after that. Goodbye Phil.moreless
