  • it's official this show is *DEAD* this shouldn't be called once....

    1.0
it should be call what it is. LOST 5.0 except not a very good or inspired one. once upon a time can officially join all the dead scifi shows that try to be lost but could never touch . once is now in the list with Alcatraz, flashforward, that unmemorable nbc show with the kid and the plane and the memories see I even forgot the name. unmemorable! rehash are some of the proper terms.

once was only any good in season 1. season 2 I was in at the beginning then it dragged. and now season 3 what a joke.

the biggest joke is that this is LOST! A mediocre one at that.

    does this sound familiar.

season 1 it ends with them leaving their land and going back to fairytale land. from a well a magical spell is released and it ends with not knowing what's going to happen. aka the hatch. and what happens on season 2.... oh they have to go back. THEY HAVE TO GO BACK! does that classic plot line or line sound familiar! but what really pisses me off is what just happen in the latest episode. so they leave story brook and it cuts to someone going around doing house stuff cooking all in the meantime playing music then someone knocks on the door everything stops and its jack looking into the hatch with lock, even Juliet in the others camp... I mean its captain hook telling emma she needs to remember. remember wait like that show where they left the island and they focused on its last season about remembering their previous life and how their memories were rewritten to forget their life on the island. wait i'm I talking about once upon a time or lost!

the writer for this show which obviously were writers for that other show needs to remember. remember! that this isn't lost.

I could really give so many examples. but to carbon copy a whole scene worst whole storylines from lost is just lazy.moreless
  • THE WAIT'S TOO LONG!!!

    10
3 months? Too long the wait! Some fans will lose interest by then! They should release it sooner. An adrenaline rush from a big, "YOUR FAMILY IS IN SERIOUS DANGER!!", won't last 3 months! Take me for example, my cousin was too lazy to download season 2 (SEASON 2 FOR GOD'S SAKES) of doctor who for me. Now I've lost interest. And it wasn't even left on a cliffhanger! Take my advice, whoever the heck is in charge, bring it back now! Before you lose a serious amount of fans!

. The episode was quite good actuallymoreless
  • OMG best mid-season finale ever...

    10
Bring on March - 3 months is too long to wait.

Loved this episode - everyone finally forgave each other or reconnected with someone important.

Devastated by this episode also - a bit like when Regina killed the huntsman and taking his heart (way too early - he should have been in the entire series) - this episode left me sad also. Rumple's decision at the end proved he was no longer a coward. Bell's dropping to the ground in devastation was amazing - their facial expressions and the tears in their eyes when they were all frozen by Pan's spell - OMG left me very teared up.

Regina's sacrifice at the end, was her redemption.

Hook's kiss with Emma - hoping it would bring back her memories was HILARIOUS...

  • Redemption Road

    10
The road to redemption is never an easy one, but never a long one. This is probably one of my favorate episodes for the show, and also kinda one of the sadest as not just does everything change but someone falls.

Not a lot I can really say, it's really one that I feel is made up in moments and I feel the main theme is on redemption. I really liked a little of that action with the shadow, Tink, Hook, Belfiry, and Charming had to deal with, it almost reminded me of "Ghostbusters" as we saw that shadow wizzing around in the Chirch, only problem is they don't have proton packs. But we see Tinkerbell really come through as she regains the power of belief and is able to create pixie dust to fly and disentergrate the shadow, it's kinda ironic since their all in a Chirch which is a place about faith in the existence of good. And of course we see that the blue fairy soul returns so anyone a fan of that character can stop fretting, and best of all Tink redeems herself and becomes a fairy again.

But to me the most dramatic and sad moment was the final conflict between Pan and Rumple. What I loved was that in the end Rumple really did learn his lesson, that he didn't need magic to be powerful and just because you have it, it doesn't always make you powerful. Rumple confronted Pan as just all him and defeated him by just simple trickery which was enough to undermine Pan's power. In the end it was Pan that was really the one that was weak because he never really grew up, Rumple as time went on truly was strong because he redeemed himself by growing up little at a time. I'll admit I could help but tear up as we see that by destroying Pan it cost him his life, he was one of my favorate characters on the show so it was really sad to see him go. There was even some emotion on the other characters faces as the spell on their paralisise was broken, seeing the looks on both Belle and Belfry's faces made my heart sink.

However despite Pan gone it was already too late as the curse was already carried out. I'll admit that is probably the only real weak point of the story is the physics of the curse don't really make a lot of sense, but then again most Fantasies and RPG have that fundamental problem sometimes on their magic mechanics so I can let it slide.

Regina we see also comes though and redeems herself in a way as she has a way to stop the curse from spreading to the entire world. But the price to pay is for all the fairy tale characters to go back to their homeland which is the fantasy world. The goodbye scene I'll admit was a bit heartwrenching as we see Emma interact with her parients once last time but the one that was the most emotional was seeing Regina and Henry, I love what Henry says to Regina, "your not a villain, your my mom" I just thought that cemented her redemption (ok in theory anyway).

And as Emma and Henry leave for safety, we see Regina has given Emma a gift which in a way is also her redemption. Despite being implanted memories (or rewritten) we see the past again where Emma was about to make the choice of letting Henry go but it's different because this time she doesn't.

Then we see things one year latter, Emma and Henry live a normal life but not for long as Hook comes into the real world to ask for Emma's help to save their land. Like in all fairy tales, as one tale ends another one begins.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Trivia: Behind the opening title, Emma's Volkswagen is visible through green mist.

    • When Pan freezes the group on the street, Hook is initially several feet to the side of Belle. However, in subsequent shots he is standing much closer to her and almost immediately behind her.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Blue Fairy: Good luck, Snow. Have faith.
Snow: That's easy to say when you have magic wings and a wand.

    • Tinker Bell: I thought you'd only risk your life for love or revenge?
      Hook: One other important thing--me.

    • Mary Margaret: And do you know what I saw when I looked inside? Hope.
Henry: Looks like fairy tales to me.
Mary Margaret: nd what exactly do you think fairy tales are? They are a reminder that our lives will get better if we just hold onto hope. Your happy ending may not be what you expect, but that is what will make it so special.

    • Malcolm: You can stop this. Remove the dagger. We can start over. We can have a happy ending.
Gold: Ah, but I'm a villain. And villains don't get happy endings.

    • Hook: His curse remains. Can you stop it? Or should we all start preparing our souls. 'Cause mine's going to take some time.

    • Regina: Henry, I was wrong, too. It wasn't your fault. It's mine. I cast the curse out of vengeance. And I'm... I'm the villain. You heard Mr. Gold. Villains don't get happy endings.
Henry: You're not a villain. You're my mom.

    • Hook: It's quite a vessel you captain there, Swan. There's not a day will go by I won't think of you.
      Emma: Good.
