Great episode, OUAT has really recovered from it's abysmal Season 3 Part 1. Part 2 has been fantastic and I'm -really- enjoying Zelena as a villain, they've really established her envy as her driving force, which is something everyone can Identify with. Lots of excitement in this episode, but not sure about what it leaves for the finale. The promo talks of more realm-transcending but haven't we had enough of that? Literally every season wastes its first 10 episodes reuiniting people who have been sucked through a portal, urgh.

I don't like this heavy bias towards Regina being a hero though. I like my Evil Queens evil. I get that she has to have her redemption, but by this point she's had it like a billion times over. Can't she go back to being a hardass?

Wish they'd do a bit more with Gold these days too, he's lost all his whimsy.moreless

It's quite something if a show with plots this twisted and honestly a little ridiculous still can have me hooked (pardon the pun). Plus every character seems to have a dark and lonely past with a ton of abandonment issues. But the acting is superb and keeps me coming back for more. The show is at its strongest when they let the characters actually grow and work and that's why I can't wait to see what OUAT has in store for the finale.moreless

    um. yeah.

On the positive side I truly enjoyed this episode and the acting and the characters and mostly everything! I rollercoastered my way through the show and couldn't wait to see what happened next.

The storyline.... well. *cough* WTH! This has got to be the most convoluted twisty turny psychotic plot I've seen in quite some time. Let's remember though - this is fantasy. This is Storybrooke - these are fairy tale people in fairy tale story doing fairy tale things.

On the negative side - the episode ended and I gotta wait till the next to escapemoreless

What a conclusion we had to the whole Zelena storyline - did it go as I expected, no I did not! It was so intense - everything from the Oz storyline from the past to the amazing events in Storybrooke were breathtaking.

There's so much to say - I loved the end with Rumple which should add an interesting dynamic to things. Way into everything Regina did. Wonder why she knew to take the pendant really, but anyway, that pendant has not had its last laugh just yet... Wonder if this could mean Zelena is not done for just yet.

Can't believe Emma still wants to go back to NY. I don't think Henry will agree to that tbh.

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • During the battle with the Wicked Witch, Robin Hood reminds the prince that the flying monkeys are their transformed friends and shouldn't be harmed. However, in the previous episodes they shot down many of them without any concern.

    • Trivia: The Emerald City of Oz is visible in the forest.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Zelena: I can do anything.
Gold: Whether it works or not is irrelevant, dearie. Because no matter what you change of your past... one thing shall remain the same--who you are. And that is a fate you can never escape.

    • Emma: What is he going to do? I have magic, he's got one hand.
Hook: You know I'm good in a fight.
David: At the very least, he can draw fire.
Hook: What, now I'm cannon fodder?

    • Henry: Once upon a time you were a villain, Mom. But you've changed. You're a hero now. And defeating bad guys is what heroes do. I believe in you. Now you need to believe, too.

    • Gold: After everything this witch has done, you're going to protect her?
Regina: Good magic stopped her. And good magic doesn't exact vengeance.
      Gold: She killed my son!
Regina: How many lives have we taken trying to get what we want?
      Gold: You can't be serious.
Regina: I am. Heroes don't kill.
      Zelena: So you're a hero?
      Regina: Today, I am.
