Episode Recap

Gold comes to the apartment to pick up Emma for their trip to the outside world. She explains that she's taking Henry with them, refusing to leave him behind when Cora is at large. Gold reluctantly agrees and David asks him to take care of his family. The pawnbroker assures David that he'll keep his deal and make sure they're not harmed. As they drive toward the town borders, Gold insists that the enchanted shawl that he's wearing will let him keep his memories. When they go past the town borders, Gold hesitates and then says that he's Rumplestiltskin and he will find his son.

Back at the apartment, David puts on his gun and admits that he misses his sword. As they head out, they find Regina at their doorstep. When she tries to tell them that she didn't kill Archie, they tell her that they already know that he's alive and that Cora framed Regina for his murder. Regina fakes ignorance about Cora being in Storybrooke and listens as they tell her what Cora is doing. She asks to see Henry and they explain that he went with Emma and Gold. Regina is offended that they didn't ask her for permission but Mary Margaret points out that Emma doesn't need to consult with her.

Once Regina leaves, David, Mary Margaret, and Leroy collect the injured Hook from the hospital and take him to the docks. They demand that he show them the cloaked ship he used to bring Cora to Storybrooke, and Mary Margaret points out that he'll help them because he knows they're on the winning side for the moment. He takes them aboard the cloaked ship and admits that he would need a portal to sail back to the Enchanted Forest. Hook then reveals Cora's secret weapon: Anton the Giant, shrunk down to human

At the cloud kingdom of the giant, Anton joins his family and his brothers tease him about his calling him "Tiny." Their father, Arlo, tells them that the bean harvest is ready to gather and they share a toast. When Anton stands up, he accidentally drops a small human harp that he has taken from the treasury. His father warns him that his fascination with humans is a mistake, and that they stopped trading their magic beans when the humans used them to invade and conquer other worlds. Anton defends the humans, insisting that they're not all bad, but Arlo says that they can never let the humans know that a few giants still exist. Puzzled, Anton asks why they harvest the beans when there is nothing to do with them, and Arlo explains that they do it for the honor of the work. Anton's brother Abraham picks up the harp and crushes it. Upset, Anton goes to the beanstalk later and climbs down to the human world.

Hook insists that he doesn't know what Cora's plan is or where she is, and suggests that they ask the giant. Mary Margaret takes pity on the prisoner and frees Anton, who is shocked that Cora has made him human-. He starts to ask where Cora is but then gets a good look at David and recognizes him. Anton attacks David and Mary Margaret manages to hold him off with a bow and arrow. The former giant says that David will pay for his evil and runs off.

Ruby visits Belle at the hospital and brings the librarian her favorite book to read. Belle still doesn't remember her friend and asks who Gold is and how he could cast a fireball. Ruby claims that Belle was hallucinating because of the sedatives and Belle starts to panic again. The nurse gives Belle a sedative while Greg comes through the door, having heard Belle's question. Ruby assures him that everything is fine and says that he should take things easy so he'll recover and leave Storybrooke.

At the diner, David, Mary Margaret, and Leroy try to work out why Anton thinks David is evil. David realizes that Anton believes that he's somewhere else: his twin brother, James.

The giant Anton secretly peers through the window of a tavern and watches the people inside, drinking and celebrating. As he walks off, James and Jacqueline find him and welcome him to the kingdom. Anton tells them that he finds humans fascinating and came to their kingdom to see them first-hand. James offers to show him around but Anton points out that he's too large to fit in. Jacqueline offers him a piece of mushroom that she received as a reward for helping a village and explains that it will temporarily shrink him down to human Anton takes the mushroom and prepares to eat it, and asks who he can thanks. Jacqueline introduces herself but says that most people call her Jack.

At the airport, Gold is offended at the barbaric security procedures. Henry notices that he's nervous and says that it must be hard to be like everyone else. When Gold realizes that they want him to take off his shawl, he refuses, worried that he could lose his memories. Emma assures him that she'll help him and he reluctantly takes it off. As it goes through the scanner, Gold staggers, puzzled, and Emma quickly gets the shawl once it passes security and puts it back on him.

In a back alley, Hook tries to summon Cora using a Queen of Hearts playing card. Regina finds him and tells her that she's now working with her mother. Cora sent her there to find out if the others found the ship, and Hook tells her that they found the ship and released Anton. Regina is pleased, figuring that the giant will provide a distraction.

Anton walks down the middle of the street, dodging cars.

-----

The human- Anton goes into the tavern with Jack and James. As they drink, Anton admits that he's happy to be somewhere without his brothers pushing him around. James gives a moving speech about how sometimes one has to leave home to find a real family. He goes over to pay for the drinks while Anton enjoys someone playing harp music for the first time. When Anton hears James arguing over the bill, Jack explains that James' kingdom is almost bankrupt and that a neighboring country will plunder the realm and burn it to the ground if they don't get their money. Anton offers his family's accumulated treasure but Jack suggests that they would accept magic beans in lieu of payment. The giant says that he'll help them and Jack kisses him, saying that he's a hero.

-----

Regina finds Anton and offers her help despite his threats. She explains that she can help him kill James and offers him a piece of mushroom that will restore him to his giant Anton accepts it, eats the mushroom, and grows.

At the airport, Gold finally leaves Henry and Emma and goes to the bathroom. He starts pounding the walls of a stall in frustration, bloodying his knuckles. Gold tries to heal the injury with magic but nothing happens.

-----

Anton climbs up the beanstalk to his kingdom and starts collecting treasure for his new friends. Arlo finds him and asks where he's been, and points out that Anton can't get along in the human world without crushing them. His son explains about the mushroom, but they're interrupted when the sentry birds sound an alert. Arlo realizes that Anton has led the humans to the cloud kingdom and goes to invesetigate.

-----

Anton rampages through Storybrooke and everyone runs in terror. David tells them to get to the town hall and then speaks to the giant. He explains that it was his twin brother James that wronged him and that he's paid the price for his crimes. Mary Margaret arrives and tells him that Emma is their daughter, and the giant asks to speak to her. When they admit that she's out of town. Anton thinks that they're trying to fool him and charges at them.

-----

Jack and James climb up the beanstalk as Arlo and Anton come out. Anton insists that they're his friends and says that he has the treasure for them, but James says that he's there for the beans. Arlo vows to protect the beans no matter what and the two intruders draw their swords and attack.

-----

As David, Mary Margaret, and Leroy run, Leroy tries to puzzle out what David's real name is. They finally come up against the town borders by the dock and David turns to face the giant. He offers himself if Anton will let everyone else live, and Anton agrees. The giant leaps at David, and Mary Margaret yanks him aside at the last moment. Anton plummets through the concrete, creating a deep hole, and the mushroom wears off. They look down and see the human- Anton hanging onto some sewer pipes to avoid falling to his death.

-----

George's army invades the cloud kingdom using poison swords, wiping out the giants. Anton and Arlo retreat back into the castle and Arlo tells Anton to burn the bean fields so that the humans can't get hold of the beans and travel to other realms. When Anton hesitates, Arlo insists that he fulfill his birthright.

-----

The townspeople gather to help Anton by tying a rope to David. He climbs down and tells Anton to take his hand, but the giant says that he'd be better off dead. David figures that if he wanted to die then he would already have let go, and Anton takes his hand. The townspeople pull them up and David tells the giant that not all humans are the same.

-----

Jack attacks Arlo and stabs him in the leg with her poison sword. He grabs her and she calls to James, who ignores her to grab more treasure. Arlo stabs Jack with her own sword and drops her to the floor, and then collapses from the poison. Jack begs James for help but he says goodbye and runs off. Anton runs in and tells his dying father that he destroyed the bean fields, and Arlo tells him that one day he will have to choose the path of his destiny. Arlo then gives his son a preserved cutting from a beanstalk and tells him to take it to a new land and plant it there.

-----

The townspeople take Anton to the diner and Leroy offers him a room, but Anton says that he'd rather camp in the woods by himself. Leroy tells him that there are all kinds of creatures in Storybrooke and they know what he's going through, and Mary Margaret assures Anton that they've all considered going back. When she tells him that there's no way back to the Enchanted Forest, Anton shows them the cutting and says that he could grow the beans to let them return to their home.

Anton and the others go out to the field and he confirms that the soil will support the beans. However, he worries that since Cora brought him there, she must have a reason to have him grow the beans. The dwarves promises that no one else will get the beans and offer to help Anton with their farm. He accepts and they give him an axe, which reveals his true name: "Tiny." Smiling, Anton looks at it and says that his brothers called him by that name.

At the hospital, Greg visits Belle in her room and tells her that he saw the same thing that she did.

As they leave the diner, David wonders what his life would have been like if he had been raised by George instead of James. Mary Margaret assures him that in the end, his heart would have made the difference. When she talks about how she had fun with their adventure, David agrees and suggests that if they go back to the Enchanted Forest, they could have more adventures. However, Mary Margaret says that home is where their family is, and she doesn't want to abandon Emma. David assures Mary Margaret that Emma can take care of herself and Henry.

As their plane takes off, Henry is eager to be off on their adventure. Gold is looking around nervously and Emma assures him that everything will be all right. He agrees, but doesn't sound convinced.
