  • The Battle of the Schools to attend! Will Breanna go to Public, or Private School? Hmmmm...

    8.0
This episode's about what school Breanna should attend. Now Breanna wants to go to a funky Public School while Flex thinks she should go to a posh Private School. Why Flex WHY!!!??? Anyway, when they go to Public School, Breanna loves it but Flex isn't such a fan, especially when some random dude tries to hit on Breanna. That night, they go to Private School, where Breanna gets stupid information about the school from annoying giggling girls 1,2 and 3. Breanna finds out that Flex gave the school a 20,000 dollar pay check (which Breanna didn't take well). WheN they come back to the apartrment, Breanna makes the choice that she's going to audition for McKinley. She decides to sing but her singing, ... well it sucks. The day of the audition, she sings and obviously it's bad, but then she decides to act out a scene from "Save The Last Dance" with her father. They did very well, and Breanna earned a place for the Drama Department. At the end, Flex allowes Breanna to attend McKinley, and everyone's happy. Now, what's going to happen to the 20,000 dollar check? Singing lessons for Breanna!!! YAY! Will they pay off though? This was another good episode (but wasn't my favorite episode so far). This showed the classic battle of picking schools, and Public School wins it, again!!! Flex, your choices need more work. I mean come on, PRIVATE SCHOOL???! Flex is still awesome and my favorite character. HIGH & LOW of episode.

HIGH: Breanna's acting audition (or the much better part of her audition). Her & Flex did really good, and it shined for a father daughter moment. It was also pretty funny too. 9/10

LOW: Okay, it's not the annoying girls from Private School or Flex's parents or even Breanna's singing. It was Flex's choice to enroll Breanna in a Private School. Breanna can't act all ladie like. She's a funky girl, and a funky girl belongs in a Public School, which she's in now, sweet!

    Overall Episode Rating: 8.0 - Good/Greatmoreless
  • Breanna and Flex battle over which school to let Breanna attend.

    9.5
Breanna's grandparents come to visit in the middle of a battle between public school and private school. Flex wants to send Breanna to private school, because he knows in private schools, you make good grades, everybody is smart, ya-dah, ya-dah, ya-dah. He also explains he would of gone to private school too, but his parents didn't have the money. But Breanna on the other hand wants to go to public school, because her friends are there, and she wants to take classes in acting and singing. She can act, but she definately can't sing! She is in the end, inserted in the drama department, and she asks Flex if she could possibly use the $20,000 check he gave the private school for singing lessons. Flex happily agrees. I knew in the end Breanna would go to public school, I just didn't know how. This was another great episode of One on One, and I expect them to keep on getting better and better.moreless
  • The classic battle of chosing the right school.

    9.0
Flex wants Breanna to attend a private school instead of teh public school she wants to attend. Flex thinks the public school is all bad, when in reality the private school is the bad one. Breanna eventually gets Flex to change his mind and attends public school.

What made this episode interesting is that it proved that there are good public schools out there to attend. Parents tend to believe that attending a private school always means better grades and colleges. This is always not true. No matter how much money you spend at school, it doesn't always results in better this and better that.moreless

    • Breanna: I did the whole private-school thing, and it was all the same; upper middle class. All girls with names like Lourdes and Abigail. Not one Pookie. Daddy, I wanna go to school with Pookie!
Flex: Honey, your momma and I talked about it, and we agreed that private school students have the highest test scores, highly motivated teachers, and the highest percentage of graduating seniors. The only thing high at public school are the students!
