Wow total letdown and boring episode as well. There is nothing spooky nor exciting about this episode.

THe story starts of promising with a woman entering then leaving her house then her husband can't find her anywhere.

He enlists the aid of the police who instead of searching for her try to put her disappearence on him.

This felt more like one of those Law and Order type of episodes you see today than anything supernatural or surreal as this show boasted about.

Worse yet there is no climax!!! I mean the narrator's delivery of the events that happened are wooden and dull.

I mean if this show is supposed to be geared toward the supernatural then let's actuall see some SUPERNATURAL things happening and not a couple of idiotic cops questioning a man who clearly doesn't know where his wife is.

Granted part of this obviously needed that but this is just a classic example of how One Step Beyond failed to be at a level of let's say the Twilight Zone to deliver any suspense, twist or logic.moreless

    • This episode was later remade for FOX's short-lived 90s anthology series Ghost Stories (hosted by Rip Torn) as the episode 'Landscape of Lost Dreams,' with several notable differneces. For example, in 'Landscape of Lost Dreams,' the woman disappears into a painting, not a house. However, much of the dialogue from 'Vanishing Point' has been left intact in 'Landscape of Lost Dreams.'
