One Stroke Painting with Donna Dewberry

Show Summary

One Stroke Painting With Donna Dewberry is a PBS television art and craft show that is hosted by the artist who pioneered the one stroke painting technique, Donna Dewberry. Through her fast and effective techniques, Donna teaches painters of all levels of experience how to create stress-free decorative paintings. Through Donna's one stroke technique, she shows painters her method of loading the brush as opposed to relying on the traditional theories of light and dark and highlighting and shading. Donna's technique of push, wiggle and lift is an easily mastered way of taking the complexity out of painting. The one push technique is extremely adaptable to any size project and any surface. From small projects like flower pots to large murals, Donna shows how everything uses the same simple strokes, brushes and paints. Even people who have never picked up a brush before will feel comfortable after picking up Donna's step-by-step painting method.

The show is very educational and provides easy one step painting guidelines on a large number of painting projects. The show provides insite and a new outlet for people to enjoy a hobby or skill that provides enjoyment and lovely gifts that can be shared with others. I have enjoyed a number of the shows but would like to see more on the simple projects that provide entertainment and income for a number of people who utilize the skills for extra income. It is also helpful in providing gifts for family and friends for special occasians and keepsakes that can be passed on to loved ones.moreless
