In this episode, Brooke once again becomes "the girl behind the red door," as the front door to the apartment is now red.
It appears that the scene where Bevin opens her door for Skills was shot on a different day then most of the other scenes in the episode. Rain can be seen in the background behind Skills, but it was not raining in any of the other scenes in the episode.
Goof: Deb is still exhaling although you can hear her talking in the scene when Karen regrets what they've done to the billboard.
Goof: Nathan tells Haley that he will be by her apartment at 8PM. When he gets there the sun is still out, and hasn't yet set - meaning he didn't go to meet her at the time they agreed on.
The billboard that Karen and Deb paint reads 'Dan Scott for Erectile Dysfunction.'
When Peyton is sitting on the bench with Mouth, her arm position keeps changing without any movement. Sometimes her arm is stretched out, then her elbow is propping up her arm.
Mouth's grandfather's number on his helmet is 23, and the go-kart that Mouth drove was also number 23. Nathan's basketball jersey number is also 23. It is also the number of the tattoo Haley has in the small of her back. 23 is an important number in the show.
When Skills is over at Bevin's, he's looking around and talking to her while being faced away, then a second later in the next shot he's facing her.
Nathan: Don't say I never gave you anything. This is a direct quote from when Nathan gave Haley a bracelet he found in his Cracker Jacks box when she first started tutoring him, on the dock. It is also the line that Haley says in the "alternate reality" dream episode in season two when she gives Nathan her wedding ring back just before he wakes up.
Haley: (to Brooke) There's no way you can just waltz out of here when this whole stupid night was your idea. Chris: (to Brooke) Brooke don't go! Nathan: (to Chris) Come here, Keller. Haley: (to Brooke) I am not through with you! Brooke: (to Haley) Yeah, Well, i am through with you! Chris: (to Brooke) Come on, Brooke, the night's still young. Nathan: (to Chris) The night's gunna be over if you touch Haley again.
(Haley takes the coins that Chris fished out of the fountain and throws them back in) Chris: What'd you wish for? Haley: That Nathan would bludgeon you. Brooke and I were actually kind of wondering why he hasn't already.
Brooke: Okay, two-part question, Nate. A) Why the hell haven't you beaten the stuffing out of Chris Keller yet so I can go home? And B) If you were just going to ignore Haley all night, why did you come?
Deb: No doubt about it... we're stuck. Karen: Well, he'll probably ground me but I'll call Lucas on the phone... which I left next to yours in the car!
Nathan: (Walking towards Haley on the balcony). Any meteors up there? Haley: Ah, that was a great night. Remember that? Watching the meteor shower together. Nathan: You look nice tonight, Haley. Haley: Thanks. Nathan: I just wish we could have spent some more time together without all this. Haley: Chris and Brooke? Nathan: I mean, the beach, this balcony. I haven't forgotten about our past Haley, I know where we got married, I know this is where we made love in the rain. I still feel our past, just like you do. I just thought it might be nice to hang out in the present for a night.
Brooke: (Talking about her designs). You guys, I'm in the window.
Rachel: So what is the deal with you and Brooke anyway? Lucas: She's just not ready to commit. Rachel: Right. That's usually what I tell guys I'm not really into. Lucas: And she wants to make sure I'm serious about her, you know. Plus... Rachel: Plus what? Lucas: She's the one. Rachel: Why? Lucas: She just is. I feel it. You know, Pascall says "that the heart has reasons that reason cannot know".
(Haley walks up to the door) Nathan: Wow! You look so.... Chris: (cutting Nathan off) Over dressed.
Nathan: I just wanted you to know that I don't blame you for any of this. You didn't wanna get married. Haley: Wait a second. Of course I did. I was just scared. Nathan: Yeah, and I promised you everything would be okay. I shouldn't have. I think about it a lot, you know. How this isn't the life you would have had, if I hadn't come along. It's not the life you should have had. Haley: It's more. Nathan: No, it's not. You'd still have your music. You'd be on tour, you'd probably be a big star by now. Haley: Come on, your... Okay. You know the moment that I left the tour?...We were playing this club in Illinois… and Chris decides to do a cover of an eighties song called, um, 'Missing You'… and everybody starts singing along, the crowds loving it and they turn the house lights up pause and I could see every face out there… and I… fell apart. On stage, in front of three thousand people; I lost it. I couldn't sing, I couldn't hear the music. Nothing. Because… that was the moment that I knew… that none of it could ever be enough without you. All of the celebrity and all of the applause and all the pretty melodies… couldn't fill your void in my heart. So… yeah, I guess you're right; it's not the life I would've had… 'cuz ever since I met you, it has been so much more.
Mel: (to Mouth) I, uh,… I know I made some mistakes with you… but one day, you're gonna have a boy of your own… make sure he's a good man. Mouth:I will and... I love you...
Nathan and Haley on the rooftop Haley: What, what're you doing? Nathan: I'm writing my own prediction for this year...a year from now,… we'll see. Haley: So what's to keep me from sneaking up here and reading what you wrote? Nathan: I guess I'll just have to trust you.
Tim: The boy draft. We know all you girls got together and drafted us to be your little love-dolls, so… we just wanna know the results. Brooke: It was a fantasy draft, Dim. You know, like that fantasies you have about Nathan – not real.
Lucas: (to Rachel) You know if I ever met the devil, I figured she'd be hot and holding a basketball.
Brooke: Lucas is the one for me. Chris: Actually my name is Chris.
Skills: Have you guys seen the movie, The Notebook? Junk: She notebooked you?
Bevin: I totally notebooked him.
Nathan: The roots are still there. It just takes time.
Haley: (to Brooke) Okay listen sister. I joined cheerleading and I stayed in this stupid draft because of who, YOU. Now I am this close to getting an actual date with Nathan so if you don't suck it up and go out with Chris Keller I swear the only puss infected sores you're gonna be licking are your own when I get through with you. Do you get it. Okay great, we're going.
Brooke: I would rather tongue kiss a puss infected sore than ever go out with Chris...(opens door and there stands Chris Keller).
Brooke: Hi. Backstabbing supposed-to-be best friend and all. Peyton: Hi. Forgot to say good morning sneery grouch-alot. Rachel: I am out of here over possessive best friends with weird lesbian energy, and Haley.
Lucas: Pascal says, The heart has reasons that reason cannot know.
Nathan: Don't say I never gave you anything.
Nathan: What are you thinking? Haley: ...nothing, just praying for rain
Brooke: ...Haley, your boyfriends are here!!
