  • Better.

Choosing My Own Way of Life was far quieter than the last episode and far better too.

I'm so glad Brooke finally told Peyton about the attack - I loved how Peyton then changed Brooke's lipstick drawing to positives about her. Touching moment right there. Oh and I do quiet like how Brooke has let Sam stay at her house and wants to be a mom again. Mick Wolf is a dick and that's a shame because he finally reveals that he's Peyton's father. I'm glad she didn't get on well with him and that he left.

The whole book tour thing with Lucas was incredibly silly because a professional book tour would never accidentally be put in the wrong genre section. Mouth was okay here but his return is slightly odd considering how big a deal his leaving was in the premier. Same with Millie who was sweet here though. And Slamball looks pretty epic. Nice to see Owen okay (I'm on team Brooke - Jamie. Haha.) and liked Haley giving her support at the end. Dan trying to win back Deb was odd...

Overall a good episode that sets things up well.

  • Slamball!!

Nathan gets a tryout with a unique basketball team playing a game called slamball. It's like extreme basketball with trampolines. It's pretty intense, but also looks really fun. Owen plays, too and Nathan is looking to join his team.

Mick finally reveals to Peyton what she has suspected all along that he is her father, but says he was a mess and would have sucked at it. I love that she ended the episode by calling Larry and thanking him for everything.

Lucas' book signing really sucks. It's like they put no effort into promoting the book at all. It's an epic love story and if it got the promotion it deserves then people would have showed up. I also love that Mouth is coming home. His catchphrase was cute, but also annoying.

It's all great that Brooke is taking Sam in. I think it's a good fit. They can learn a lot from each other.moreless
  • Way too boring, not worth it

I found this episode to be quite boring and not really worth the time. First off, I just don’t see how Nathan and Haley can allow Dan to just pick up Jamie from school (sure he saved their lives and all, but the whole trust thing comes to mind). If they are allowing Dan to do this, why didn’t they just let him do that after he saved Jamie from Nanny Carrie the first time? So unrealistic and definitely bad scripting. As for Lucas and his book tour, I found that to be the best storyline of this episode. In real life, you don’t always get what you expect, and this is a classic example. Peyton’s storyline with her dad also comes to an end and we get the truth as to why he left her. Nathan’s shot to be a basketball player took a rough turn and I think he’s got the right idea in mind. Anyway, like I said, this episode was quite boring and throwing in an unrealistic part is helping anything. I really hope they have some adventurous and climatic moments in future episodes.moreless
  • Haley discovers that Sam is sleeping in a car in school

In this episode of One Tee Hill, the following happens. Lucas goes on a book tour for his new book, the comet. After only one town where no one showed up, the tour is pulled. Nathan and Haley (Naley) discover a student, Sam sleeping in a car in shop class. We learn she is a foster child. We learn that Mike is actually Peyton's biological father; he finally admits it to her. Dan tells Jamie the truth about life, well mostly about veg. Haley asks Brooke if she will foster Sam, but Brooke says no. But at the end she changes her mind, and Sam moves in. Lucas discovers that Mouth is more popular than he is in that town he has his book signing. Brooke finally comes clean to Peyton about her attack. Nathan is asked to play Slam Ball, and so he Jaime and Skills go and check it out. There they bump into Owen who is playing. We learn that the 1 year sober coin Mick has with him is actually Ellie's from when she was pregnant with Peyton. Mick leaves and goes on tour with a band. Peyton thanks him for giving her up. AS Lucas is waiting for his plane, Mouth turns up and tells him that he is going home. So they drive home together and Mouth reads his book. Haley gives Nathan her blessing to play Slam Ball. We see Peyton calling her dad (Larry) and she tells her that she loves him and that she is glad that he is her dad.moreless

It's Mouth's first apparence since he left for Omah, we find out that Sam is a foster child and Haley finds her sleeping in the back seat of a car, Nathan gets a chance to play ball again, Brooke has flashbacks of her attack and she finally tells Payton that she was attacked. Owen returns to help Nate, Brooke admits to Payton that she felt embarrassed and weak after she was attacked. Payton tells Brooke that she isn't going anywhere and the guy who is running the booktour for Lucas says that there isn't going to be anymore signings. Payton tells Brooke that Mick is her birth dad and she is happy. I am very happy that she meantioned Larry it's about time. =) Mouth admits that he misses Tree Hill and he finally returns home. Brooke finally agrees to foster Sam I am very happy that she did that.moreless

    • Brooke: And this is your room.
Sam: I've never had my own room before.
      Brooke: No boys!

    • Peyton: You really think Victoria could have done something like that to you?
Brooke: No. I mean, I don't know. I think I needed somebody to blame.
Peyton: I wish you would have told me.
Brooke: I wanted to but I didn't' know how.
Peyton: Honey, I am your best friend. I love you. That is why you have me. And it kills me that I wasn't able to be there for you.
Brooke: It's gonna sound weird but I was just really embarrassed. I felt weak and... You and Luke were so happy and I didn't want to ruin that for you.
Peyton: No. Hey, I never want you to think that you can't come to me, for anything. I'm here for you forever.
      Brooke: (whisper) Promise?
(Peyton moves to hold Brooke in her arms.)
Peyton: Yeah. Of course I promise. You're stuck with me.
Brooke: (crying) I'm really sorry that I've been distant. I'm trying to get back, it's just gonna take a while.
Peyton: I'm not going anywhere. Ever.

    • Peyton: Hi Dad, how are you? No, no, no, everythings okay, I just... I just want to tell you that I love you, and thanks for being my dad.

    • Mouth: (on the air): Okay, before we jump into the day's scores, I wanted to follow up on a story we did a couple of weeks ago about Darren Rivers. Now for those of you who just landed on Earth, he's the pro ball quarterback who shocked the world last month when he retired from the NFL, turning down a 68 million-dollar contract extension so he could spend more time with his family. Now naturally, I put up a crazy meter with Darren's face in the middle of it. I gave him an 8 out of 10. Well, it turns out he might be the least crazy of all of us. You see, he just realized that money isn't everything. I think sometimes we all lose sight of what really matters the most. Darren Rivers just figured it out before I did. So Darren, please accept my sincere apology and I'm officially moving you down the crazy meter from an 8 to a 3. Cause let's face it. You still turned down 68 million dollars.

    • Nathan: You saved my wife. And you saved my son. But you killed my uncle. Right here where I'm standing. I don't know where that leaves us. At least my son loves you.
      Dan: My son hates me.
      Nathan: Both of them.

    • Inn: Wow. You know this turnout isn't exactly inspiring me to read your book, Lucas.
Lucas: Well, whose brilliant idea was it to put this signing in the science-fiction section?
Inn: It's a book about space, right?
Lucas: No. Actually um, the comet's a metaphor. It's a love story.
Inn: Huh. Well, you know what? We could've had this thing out in the middle of main street. We wouldn't have got any more traffic.
      Lucas: Thanks for the support!

    • Haley: Sam, I can't just pretend like this didn't happen. You are 15 years old! There has to be something better for you.
Sam: You seem nice, but I'm not your girl. I'm not anybody's girl.

    • Millie: Look who it is, the world's best boss!
Brooke: And what are you buttering me up for?
Millie: Nothing. We just have lots to do.
Brooke: Millie, I love you dearly, but you realize we are standing in the clothing store that has no clothes in it. And I am fresh out of ideas.
Millie: Are you sure about that?

    • Brooke: Go sky diving?
Millie: You didn't let me say the voila.
Brooke: I'm sorry. But look.. Sky diving sounds really fun and all, but how is it gonna help this company?
Millie: Well, maybe before you heal the company, you have to heal your soul a little first.

    • (Peyton and Lucas are talking on the phone)
Lucas: I'm coming home. They cancelled my book tour.
Peyton: What are you talking about? Why?
      Lucas: Doesn't matter.
Peyton: No, it does matter. You worked so hard for this.
Lucas: Hey, it's okay, Peyton. I mean, I still have you, and that's all that really matters. Besides, this book brought us back together. So it's the best thing I've ever written.
Peyton: You come home to me then. I love you.
Lucas: I love you, too. I'll be home soon.

    • Haley: Hey, I have an idea. How about I sleep in here tonight in case I get scared?
      Jamie: Okay, I'll protect you.
      Haley: Oh, okay.
Nathan: What if I get scared?
      Jamie: I'll protect you, too!
      Nathan: My hero.
(Nathan snuggles into bed with Haley and Jamie)
Jamie: I didn't know it was going to get this crowded!

    • Owen: Hey, what's up Jamie? How you doing buddy?
Jamie: Sorry Owen, but I'm on Team Brooke.

    • Lucas: I've signed exactly two books today. One of those was a Gossip Girl book.
Mouth: Hey, I heard those were pretty good.
      Lucas: That's not helping.

    • Millie: You've always been there for me. I think it's my turn to be here for you.
