Can I just say: Wow! What an amazing episode. It had all the best of everything: Humor, with Peyton and Lindsey sparring in Mias song, ofcourse Tim being his old self, the girls trying to get out of the library and Mia bringing a little light heartedness.
Drama, with Mouth and Lucas thinking back to Jimmy and Keith during this first game. Ofcourse Peyton and Lindsey again, who get to understand eachother a little better.
And it had Jamie, who is just adorable as the teams mascotte!

I personally think Tim was a little Jimmy spirited. As we see him walking away in the hallway, he just represented the ones who were lost along the way, but are still there. And didnt he give the girls a little insight in their philosophical conversation?

Anyways, amazing episode, especially the part where the cast is singing to Mias song. Each in their own thoughts on that moment...

Like I said, one word: Wow!moreless

I loved this episode because it reminded me of them being in high school and the fun they used to have together. It was so funny! My favourite part was when they were supposed to be ordering the pizza in order to get out of the library but instead they were arguing on what toppings to get! 'no mushrooms!'...hahaha.Mia was hilarious in this episode but peyton was acting like a spoilt b***th! Lindsey tried her best to take the high road but Peyton was not allowing it, forcing lindsey to fight back. I'm glad she did and finally shut peyton up!! Although, I do think it was really insensitive of Lucas to propse to both of the women with the same ring (even if it was keith's). All in all this was my favourite episode of the 5th series because it reminded me of their high school days.moreless

Haley, Brooke, Peyton, Lindsey and Mia get locked in the Tree Hill High library; Brooke tries to stand up for her mother; Lucas and Nathan try to tell their loved ones about their indiscretions. Marc Schwahn wrote this episode. It figures Keith would come up... He's dead, and he has been for two seasons (over four years). Give it a rest. I loved the plots for this episode. I loved that the girls were all stuck in the library. Haha. :) LMAO at Mouth's ringtone! I liked that Brooke was trying to defend her mother. Lindsay's "You're gonna be bleeding all over this library again" comment was way out of line, but it was a great fight. Haha, Tim. Great episode. :)moreless

  • Too many mistakes that destroyed the overall story of the episode, e.g. Why couldn't they just get out of the library, seriously?

    "Poor"
The confrontations between Peyton and Lindsey, Mouth "covering" the basketball match and Mia's singing and acting with the other girls in the library was some of the only good things from this episode.

The whole lock down with the girls just seemed extremely fake and poorly written. Here are some of the reasons why: - What are the odds of all the handles has been removed from all the doors, and only on the inside. - Why is there no fire-exit? - Why can't they just open a window and get out that way? You can actually see the handle on the window that Lindsey is trying to smash with a chair. - How can there not be any signal in the library, I mean the school is located IN the city and it's not like the walls a made of thick concrete. - There are a lot of online services where you can send SMS messages to mobile phones, so why didn't they just send one to Nathan or that Bartender dude? - And last but not least: Why is none of the male characters not concerned about where the girls are at? Nathan properly drove with Haley and Lucas has properly talked to Lindsey about watching the match etc.

I get it that the writers want to force the girls to talk about their problems, but seriously it could easily have been done more much better.

But my biggest issue with this episode is when Haley tells Peyton about how she became friends with Lindsey.
She said that she wanted to check Lindsey out, because she still was hoping that Lucas would end up with Brook or Peyton. So Lucas and Lindsey was dating at this point, but then Haley says that Lindsey are currently editing the chapter of Lucas' book with the shooting incident and she tells Haley that se want to make it right in honor of the characters that died in the incident.
This makes no sense, because Lucas and Lindsey's first date was after the book was released, remember the episode where Lucas is waiting for Peyton in the book store where he is signing his newly released book and Lindsey's ask him out on a date (their firs date).
    This is a huge error!

I know I'm very negative in this review, but it's not all bad, I did write in the begging of the review what I though was good in this episode and I don't really won't to go into depth with it, beside from the fact that I liked that Mouth's covering the match didn't have anything to do with the game but the people in it and this is being supported with the fact that we never get the final result of the match not even who won.moreless

  • Tim is back!

    "Perfect"
The Tree Hill Ravens have their first game of the season! Mouth is ready to report on it. Lucas, Nathan and Skills give motivational speeches to the team. Haley, Brooke, Peyton, Mia and Lindsey get stuck in the school library. Peyton and Lindsey are claw to claw most of the time. Brooke tries to comfort Peyton, while Haley comforts Lindsey. Mia gets everyone to get to know each other. They order pizza, as a way to escape. The pizza man is none other than Tim! He gets stuck too. After a little more fighting and a lot of apologizing, Peyton and Lindsey make up. Mouth's report on the game is more about people and love than the actual game. The Ravens win! Nathan wants to tell Haley about the kiss Carrie gave him.

This episode was so great! It was a really funny episode, but also very touching! I'm glad Lindsey and Peyton made up, but I'd rather have Peyton with Lucas. Haley and Mia are such great singers! Tim is so awesome! He was so funny back in the high school years, so I'm glad we got to see him back! I'm glad Nathan wants to do the right thing and tell Haley about Carrie. Jamie is cool! This episode gets a 10 out of 10 from me!moreless

    • When Brooke and Peyton are talking and Brooke is reading the B.Davis magazine, the model on the back is Solaris, the model Brooke met the in the episode "All Tomorrow's Parties". Edit
    • When Mia is singing "Wish You Were" along with the cast, the music backing the singing is actually different to the music from Kate Voegele's (Mia) album. It's the same tune, but it seems as though either the music is too slow, or the singing is too fast as it doesn't sound time out quite right. Edit

    • Mouth: (voiceover) There was a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in America. A team won and a team lost. That's not the real story. The real story is about fathers and sons. It's about life and time and change. Girls and boys went to the game. They dressed and hoped to fit in. Some did. Some didn't. It's a story that has history and chapters yet to be written. There was a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in America. Reporters will report. They'll tell you who the high scorer was and what the keys to the game were. But that's not the real story. As a matter of fact, that's not the story at all. Edit
