It is edited lol! i was wondering y everyone was so confused with it being an 'off topic thread' when it clearly says it in the title. haha ok anyway...

Trying to think of an off topic topic but always have OTH on my mind when im on this forum.

Does anyone drive manual cars? I'm learning on one now - so not a fan! i love my auto..

i DO i hate it its really hard to learn, many many stallings happened in my car

    LOL!

I actually enjoy manuals More than automatic ones.

I learned how to drive a manual car, and had a manual one when I got my license. I drove one for about 3 years, and liked it

But than my mom decided we need to get a new car, and we got an automatic one. and its much more easy, but I find it boring. and if I had a chance to, I believe I would drive a manual.

Oh, now I miss my old car

Wow. I guess i should've learnt on a manual to start with, coz i've been driving auto for 3 years and have to learn manual now since my sisters taking off with my beuatiful baby auto next yr.

Ok funny story (now that its been almost a week since it happend). I picked up a girl i babysit from gymnastics and we drove home, but it was the first time in the manual car. Got to this hill and theres a stupid stop sign right in the middle! so i had to stop, and tried to go again but stalled. Then stalled again like 10 times when i tried to move, all these cars behind are giving me evil looks. THEN this guy walks up, knocks on the window, asks if i need help - he's a bus driver and drove my car up the rest of the hill for me. How nice!! still not the best experience - with a lil 6 yr old in the back wondering what the hell is going on and y i cant drive!

Please tell me other ppl have horror stories of 1st manual experiences..

Yeah, I had the same thing happened to me right after I got my license. I was with my cusin's kids and there's a stop sign on this hill in the middle of no where, and as I tried to drive, my car decided NO.

Another horror story was about a week after I got my license, and my brother was in the car with me (it's a miracle he let me drive!) and the whole time I was driving, he set there and pray we wouldn't get in a car accident. than I stopped on a hill (there's a lot of them where I live) for some reason, and of course my car wasen't cooperative at all! and my brother praying we won't get in a car accident hadn't help either

But its really doesn't that bad once you get the hang of it.. you just need some practice

Awe ... guys driving manual isn't that hard. The trucks are a little different than the cars, but it's all the same.

    I learned on a manual!

You just have to remember the key factors at all times and you'll be fine. As you drive more and more you'll pick up little sneaks and tricks to make it a lot smoother and easier. It is worth it too!

What if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere, your friend that drove the manual out there get's bit by a .... ummm .... snake! Yeah, a snake, and then you have to drive to the hospital!? Lol unrealistic I know ... but still it's good to know.

I'm not even old enough to drive yet but that'll change in 28 days! haha well my parents are planning on teaching me with auto since we don't have a manual car and that seems too complicated for me anyways..

I haven't seen it but the ads were enough to make me NOT want to. seriously it just sounds stupid - they could'nt even come up with a more imaginative title!

LOL, but that's why I wanted to watch it. It seemed so bad that I would be laughing at how bad it was.

That's what I heard, but a few of my friends loved it...idk the commercials screamed 'stupid movie, don't waste your money' lol ..and those MTV commercials rocked.

Since its an off-topic thread, I've just noticed something after watching 'Not Another Teen Movie' ...the set they used for the high school in the movie is the same exact school they used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the show) for Sunnydale High! I found that cool for some odd reason ..yeah I'm just wierd like that I guess lol.
