It may have been obvious what How Can You Be Sure? was trying to do - put Lucas in the same situation his parents were in all those years ago - but it was actually pretty effective.

It was really intense to see Lucas go through the motions of what to do about the child. I actually felt sorry for him that Brooke wasn't speaking to him. Very powerful moment when Lucas tells Karen and she slaps him only to break down and apologise afterwards. It felt like a real moment between a mother and son.

That's why it's other more ridiculous when Brooke reveals she's been lying half the time about the pregnancy. Way to drop to their level Brooke. I mean I know they hurt her but this was a low blow even for her. I would've been way more pissed if I was Lucas. It was interesting to see Dan's side of things too. Seeing him admire younger pictures of Lucas below was a strange twist.

Karen turned down Keith's proposal. Predictable but the writers really want to push them apart. Now he's moving away? Rash move, Keith. Haley's dilemma about sex was well done throughout the episode, as was Nathan not wanting to push her. That's why the ending why they both said I love you was so satisfying. Hopefully Haley won't just jump into bed with him now though...I don't remember what she does. But it was very sweet.

Nikki is a little 'psycho stalker bitch' right now. Oh my god are we seeing One Tree Hill's first psycho storyline? They love them. I like how Peyton is sticking by Jake though - they should get together.

All good and interesting setup for the last three episodes of the season!

Karen turns down Keith's proposal. Brooke sees a doctor about her possible pregnancy. Her and Lucas get into a fight about it so when she finds out she isn't pregnant she lies and tell Lucas that she is to punish him.

Nicki is hanging around still and encouraging Peyton to stay away.

Nathan sees Haley's tattoo and has a bit of a freak out over it because he doesn't understand how she can get a tattoo of his jersey number, but won't sleep with him. This becomes a big issue with them until the end of the season. Near the end of the episode they share a touching moment when they tell each other how they feel. Nathan and Haley are in love!moreless

Meanwhile, Haley considers giving her virginity to Nathan. Wow, the pregnancy drama was EXCELLENT. Karen turns down Keith's proposal! :( The pregnancy test was positive! Nathan sees Haley's tattoo! I hate Lucas! His little accusation toward Nathan was unbelievable, but understandable. "Yeah, that's my life. Notice who's not in it?" Haha, Jake will never let that go. "Since you got my jersey number tattooed on your ass." LMAO! "Maybe you can pull a Dan Scott and knock two girls up at once." LMAO. Good episode!moreless

I really liked this one. It was really great. Brooke tells Lucas that she thinks that she is pregnant, and they are both scared. She takes a pregnancy test and it's positive but then she calls the doctor, and they say she's not pregnant. She lies to Lucas and tells him that the baby is his. You find out at the end that Brooke lied to Lucas, and that the doctor said that she's not pregnant. Keith proposes to Karen, but she says no. Keith decides that he's going to leave town because what Karen said made him decide that Tree Hill didn't really feel like home now.

Nikki, Jake's ex thinks that there's something going on with Jake and Peyton. Peyton continues to babysit Jenny.

Haley thinks about having sex with Nathan a little bit. She decides not to. Nathan sees Haley's tattoo of his jersey number, 23, on her lowerback. He gets freaked out. Near the end, he tells her that he doesn't want to pressure her, and that he doesn't want to drive her away. He tells her that he loves her, and even though it scares him a little bit, he does. Haley is surprised, and she's like wow. They kiss, and she tells him that she loves him too.

I thought that the Nathan & Haley parts were really cute. I personally love them together as a couple.moreless

in this ep of the show one tree hill lucas thinks brook is pregnant but thing is she keeps giving him the cold shoulder on the subject and does not want to talk about it. also in this ep haley is tring to make the desion if she should sleep with nathan and him to be herfirst time. and lucas and brook go and find out she is not pregnant. at all this was a really good ep and it had alot of emotions and alot drama about the usuly teen subejects . and it was a good one and that is why i gave it 8.5moreless
