  • Dan Scott, the Prince of Darkness, actually turns over a new leaf!

Dan Scott actually turns over a new leaf. Not just another "Dan Who knew?

Clay and Sarah. What a touching love story, so poignantly told in just a few quick brush strokes. I really felt sorry for them. They deserved so much more.

A third storyline, Quinn and David, depicted a different kind of tragedy. David did not "lose sight of what was important in David never understood what it was in the first place. Not even when Quinn left him.

The writers certainly took their time with the setup for all the storylines. But what a payoff! What a catharsis! Our patience was rewarded in every instance.moreless
  • Best episode of the season?

I and Love and You was a massive improvement on recent weeks. The flashbacks with Clay, Quinn and Renee and Nathan were very effective in moving along their storylines and developing their characters.

It especially worked but it made me care about the two new characters. Showing how Quinn became distant from David worked a lot better than her just rambling on about it all. But Clay's moments with his wife Sarah had a lot more impact. Learning that he loved this woman, married her and then she died was tragic and quite powerful. This Tree Hill ghost thing does get tiresome but it really worked to explain Clay's character here.

Finally this silly storyline with Renee ends as well. For the first time this season I actually liked Dan's presence and how he revealed the lie was clever. Did he actually get heart surgery then? Was that what that scar on his chest was? Nathan and Haley were a bit soppy here, but I guess they're entitled considering all this drama is now over. YES. Brooke and Julian were very in the background here and I still don't like how Alex has gotten between them. But at least marriage has been brought up between them.

A lot better and I'm glad a lot of these storylines are taking a new direction.

  • Aww, Clay!! :(

First, I am just oh so glad that this stupid scandal story is over. I never expected it to end this way with Dan getting her to admit that she was lying, but either way I am just so glad it's over.

Second, This thing with Quinn and David really sucks and it was really mean of him to dump her stuff on Clay's lawn, but I want her to be with Clay when he is ready.

And now third. Wow Clay!! I never saw this coming. When Sara showed up in the last episode I just thought she was an old friend or girlfriend, not an ex-wife like I thought at the beginning of this episode and definitely not a dead wife like we found out at the end. When I saw this episode and when I watch it again I just feel so bad for him. And I feel really bad that I ever had bad thoughts about him in the first place. I mean, when I first saw this season I thought that maybe he fathered Renee's baby and she just took it out on Nathan for revenge. But, now...after this episode my whole opinion on Clay changed. He is just a lost and lonely man dealing with a broken heart.

I loved all the flashbacks to Clay and Sara's relationship. It was nice getting to see how they met and their relationship, but seeing it come to an end was hard. I kind of wish they had spread it out more and showed flashbacks of the relationship in one episode and shown us the end in another. It was a lot to take all at once. It was the saddest thing when he put his ring on her finger.moreless
  • Good, but disappointing.

Well, those who were expecting and hoping for the old, evil Dan Scott to return (like I was) had to be sorely disappointed with tonight's episode.

It's not that One Tree Hill is bad right, but the whole show just feels like Barney (yes, the kids show). I love you, you love me we're all...something, something.

This episode was just a bunch of people whining about their "problems" and not acting like mature adults. I'm sorry sister, but your husband wanting a nice screen to watch TV does not make him a bad person. Suck it up, Quinn.

James Lafferty, don't look for too much of a career as a director either after this episode. You're no Ron Howard.moreless
  • Best music in this episode!

We are on this one! We, as in my band, the Outline. It's "Shotgun" - playing during the basketball game/dramatic conversation outside. If you like that jam, maybe you'll like some of the others. and just maybe you'll come check out a show sometime (LA-based), and maybe we can talk about one tree hill and how cute all the guys are and who we would want to marry (in a perfect world). ok, thats almost 100 words

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Renée: Mr. Scott, what happened between you and Nathan?
Dan: I murdered his uncle... among other things.

    • Nathan: Do you believe this? Do you realize how ridiculous this is? The guy shot his brother at point blank range and now he has a hit TV show. He's rolling out some rigged up lie detector machine and I have to sit 3000 miles away and just take it.
Haley: Screw him. I mean it. Let's not even watch the rest of the show. It's a nice day. It's a nice life.
Nathan: How can you be so strong?

    • Dan: Falling in love is the easiest thing you're ever gonna do. It's the most exciting thing, the most powerful thing. That's why falling out of love hurts like hell, but falling in love…there's nothing better. It's the best it ever gets.
