Goof: When Brooke and Lucas are riding in the hackney carriage, they are sitting with some space between them. However, in the close-up shots, they are sitting right next to each other.
Lucas: You should consider the Fade-away. Nathan: Fade-away is weak man. Lucas and Nathan share a similar conversation regarding Fade-aways in the episode "Spirit In The Night". Nathan: I don't have a problem with getting open. Lucas: Well you will with me out of the line up. Okay? The Fade-away is a great shot for creating space. You want to work on it or what? Nathan: I don't need to work on it.
When Brooke is bringing Lucas into his hotel room when he was drunk, she called him 'boozy'. A nickname that Dan used for Keith.
Lucas' e-mail address as seen on his iPhone when Peyton sends him the message is lucasscott@mac.com.
(After a very drunk Lucas kisses Brooke) Brooke: Okay, I think that might be the second stupidest thing you've done in the last 24 hours. (Lucas looks at her aware of how right she is) Luke, we're not in high school anymore. And I love Peyton, and even if you don't wanna admit it right now, so do you. Okay? Lucas: I feel lost Brooke. I don't know what to do without her. Brooke: Alright. You remember when I started Clothes over Bros? It was right after we broke up and I was trying to mend my broken heart by focusing on my work and you need to do the same right now. You need to go out there and become the best person and the best writer that you can be and then you approach Peyton and if she comes back to you, you know it's meant to be.
Lucas: Hey, when did you get here? Peyton: I don't know, like an hour ago. Lucas: You know you could have woke me up. Peyton: Luke… what is this? I couldn't bring myself to open it but, uh I've just been sitting here thinking about how much I love you. Lucas: Well… I wanted it to be a surprise but uh. Peyton, I love you and I want us to be together forever. Peyton: Luke, wait okay. Lucas: I know it's a bit sudden okay, but yesterday was a great day. And I'm sitting on the bus and I realize that none of my great days in my life matter without you. You're the one I want next to me when my dreams come true. You're the one I want next to me if they don't. As long as I have you nothing else matters. Peyton: There's… it's just not as simple as all of that okay. I mean there's a lot we have to talk about. Lucas: I know that but we'll figure out all the details when we get back to Tree Hill. Peyton: Okay I know that's home for you and I miss it sometimes, I do, but for me Tree Hill is two dead moms and a psycho stalker and some really painful memories. You know I actually had to move out to Hollywood to get away from all the drama. So right now this is my home and the only thing that's missing is you. Lucas: Then I'll move here. Peyton: No god. Luke honey, Whitey believes in you and Nathan needs you and if I ask you to walk away from your dream you're gonna wake up one day and you're gonna resent me for it. The same way I would feel if you asked me to leave LA. Lucas: Peyton you get people coffee and deliver mail, you were doing more than that in Tree Hill. Peyton: Well I love you for believing that but I have to prove that to myself. I mean… you see that's the thing, and we both have so much we wanna do with our lives and were only nineteen. Lucas: And Nathan and Haley were a lot younger than that. Peyton: Okay well we see how easy that's been. Come on…in another year. Lucas: Peyton! We've seen each other three times in the last year. We go days without talking. We trade few emails. We've already grown so far apart. Who knows where we'll be a year from now. Peyton: Luke if you can't trust that our love can make it one year, I don't understand how we can be talking about forever right now! Lucas: You're saying no. Peyton: No! I am not saying no, I am saying not now. I want to marry you someday. Hey don't do that, don't pull away from me. Okay I want us to be together. I love you so much. Lucas: Just not enough… Peyton: Okay. Can we take this back? Can we just pretend like you never woke up, please? Lucas: I don't think we can. Peyton: I'm afraid that this conversation is going to end with… Lucas: Goodbye… Peyton: Don't! Come here. Our dreams are going to come true Lucas. My music and your novel. It's gonna happen, I know it.
Brooke: (to Lucas) It's the most time I've spent with my mom since the maternity ward, but I'm scared if I let her in 'Clothes over Bros' isn't gonna be mine anymore, you know?
Whitey: Lucas, you were always a great player, but you're an even better coach.
Nathan: (before the final game) Well, maybe after tonight people will look at me as a champion again, not a point-shaver.
Lucas: Alright, now listen up. Sorry coach. What's the game plan? Whitey: You tell me. You know I told you, someday that you'd be taking over. Well this is it. You're ready. Go on. Bring us home. (winks)
Lucas: We all make sacrifices, I mean for the first time in your academic career you're getting b's. Haley: Ughh, it was a b+, okay.
Brooke: Luke you still love her don't you? Peyton? Lucas: I gotta get back to Lindsey. (Lucas walks away) Brooke: This is gonna get interesting.
Nathan: Say it again buddy what is this. Huh? Ball. Ball. Haley: See I'm telling you, the kid's gonna be a rockstar and a very well behaved rockstar. Right? Hey Jamie. Guitar. Nathan: (mouths) Ball. Haley: Guitar. Jamie: Ball. Haley: Uh, no fair ball's so much easier than guitar.
Victoria: Maybe teen marriage is all the rage in Hicksville, North Carolina but I swear if you marry this boy I am going to have annulment papers drawn up so fast. Brooke: Mom, relax it was just a joke. (Victoria looks relieved) Victoria: Oh, thank God. You have far too much to lose Brooke. Brooke: And Lucas Scott was the one boy I might have lost it for. Victoria: You should be focusing on the company. Not boys with rings. Brooke: But what about love, mom? Isn't that the key? Victoria: In care you have forgotten, its called clothes over bros. (Brooke scoffs, as if she just realized something) Brooke: Right. Okay, I'm in. High end line, the magazine; I'm ready to take it to the next level. Victoria: Oh, I'm so glad to hear you say that. And I promise you darling, we are gonna have everything we have ever wanted. (Brooke gives Victoria a sad nod)
Brooke: Well, sounds to me like you gave her an ultimatum, and trust me there is no quicker way to paralyze a girl.
Lindsey: But can I ask you something? Lucas: Yeah. Lindsey: The Luke and Peyton in the novel? Lucas: No. Lindsey: Huh. I'm sorry, I was rooting for them.
Lucas: So 37 years of coaching, where does this one rank? Whitey: This would be number 3. Number 2 was your high school championship. Lucas: What was the first? Whitey: The first was the night Camilla agreed to join a scrawny kid just embarking on a 37 year coachiing career. Lucas: There's more important things in life than basketball.
Haley: (to Lucas) You're a part of this family, you always will be.
Whitey: Oh and no late night cyber chats with long distance blondie. Lucas: (laughs) Alright.
Lucas: (To Haley) All I have to show for my writing career is a stack of rejection letters. Besides when I see the three of you together, I just want what you guys have.
Haley: I guess that's life in the music business. Lucas: Yeah, I guess. Do you ever miss it? Haley: Sometimes escpecially when I see you chasing you dreams of becoming a writer, but I'll go back to chasing my dreams someday.
Brooke: (to Lucas) That diamond ring is gold!
Haley: You should never be ashamed of your achievements. Nathan: The only thing I'm ashamed of is the person I've been for the past few months. That's all going to change. I know we're not the couple we used to be, but we're going to get there, I know it.

Just before Lucas changes his flight to leave earlier because he broke up with Peyton, the ticket agent says to the previous passenger:
"Have a great flight to Hartford".
Hartford is a town within the realm of Gilmore Girls, which Chad Michael Murray guest starred in.
During her dinner scene with Lucas Peyton mentions seeing Ryan Adams and Tegan & Sara in concert. Music from both artists have featured heavily in past seasons and Tegan & Sara have previously been mentioned by Peyton in the season one episode "Crash Course In Polite Conversation".
The iPhone was a continuity gaffe. In the previous episode Brooke's store is populated with Intel iSight iMacs (in the "current" timeline) ... vintage 2007. The iPhone was released 29 June 2007. Apple doesn't keep designs in any of their lines for 4 years, so a 2010 iMac (and iPhone, which Brooke also uses) that have exactly the same design would be highly improbable.
The name of the college that Nathan plays for and Lucas coaches for is Gilmore. Chad Michael Murray played another character interested in a Gilmore, Rory Gilmore from Gilmore Girls, which he guest starred on.
Lucas: What's wrong with the title? Lindsey: They say that about every book. I love the title. Murder of Crows... Parliament of Owls. A Parliament of Owls is a book by Beth Hilgartner, published in 2002. It was a sequel to her other book A Business of Ferrets. A Murder of Crows is a book by Richard Barrett, published in 2003.
Episode Title: I Forgot To Remember To Forget "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" is a country song written by Stan Kesler and Charlie Feathers. The song was performed by Elvis Presley, Scotty Moore and Bill Black.
