It's Nathan's first game of Slamball. It's a little rough and Haley and Jamie are having a bit of trouble dealing with watching him get hit and beat up during the game. I don't blame them. Some of those hits made me nervous, too, but it's really nice seeing him play again.

Lucas gets an offer to turn his firs book, An Unkindness of Ravens, into a movie. It's a little weird since the book is basically the TV show, but it's also really cool. I think it will be great. It's weird that Julian just showed up like that. Over the years I've grown to love him, but I wasn't all that fond of him in the beginning. Especially when we found out he had a history with Peyton.

And I loved seeing Derek again. Ever since he left in season 4 I've wondered if they were going to mention him or bring him back and now they did.

I didn't put it in my last review, but we've got Gigi back in our lives. She was an interestingly weird character who was a bit of freak and nothings really changed. Except that she is a bit more outgoing. She's not as shy as she used to be and she is still into Mouth and is not afraid to show it. Ugh!

In this episode of One Tree Hill, the following happens. Every one turns out to support Nathan, during his Slam Ball game. Millie learns who Mouths new intern is and is less than impressed, hat it is Gigi. We learn that someone wants to turn Lucas's book "The Ravens" into a movie. The very next day, Haley sees the marks on Nathans back from the game the night before and looks shocked at how bad the damage is. Jamie asks if he can sleep over his Aunt Brooke and Haley agrees. Lucas meets the person, who wants to make his book into a movie. We learn that Peyton's brother, Derek is back in town. Lucas goes to ask Brooke if she is ok, with the book becoming a movie. Sam goes out to a party and takes Jamie with her. Brooke learns that someone has broken into the store and when she goes to tell Sam and Jaime she finds that they have gone. Brooke soon discovers that they are having a party at the store and Jamie is there with Sam. We soon she that Peyton's wedding dress which has been working on, has been ruined thanks for spray paint. When Sam sees what has happened she apologises, but Brooke doesn't seem to care and who can blame her. Lucas signs over the rights to his book for the next 6 months. He is also made the script writer for the movie. Jamie apologises to Brooke for the party. At the end of the episode we see Sam cleaning the dress, she thinks that Brooke is going to kick her out, but she grounds her. Sam seems really upset and glad that Brooke has grounded her. We soon learn that Peyton and the person, who is making the movie, Julian, used to know each other.moreless

Excellent episode. One Tree Hill is so good this season! I love looking back and seeing exactly how much things have changed since season 1. Success is headed for the Scott brothers as Nathan is offered a spot on a major basketball team, and Lucas decides to turn his book into a movie. Meanwhile, Mouth's new intern clashes with Millicent. Mouth and Gigi. Ugh. They ended the relationship so abruptly in season four and now Gigi is a home-wrecker. I couldn't believe that Sam threw a party and got spray paint all over Peyton's wedding dress. Julian returns and gets Lucas to sign a movie contract. Wow.moreless

Revealing is the best description for this episode, remember when Peyton told Lucas that she tried to fill the void he left in her life with music, art, and friends, well it seems she was not completely honest then. So Peyton saw someone else in her four years away from Tree Hill, and he does not seem to be the best guy out there, he seems like a smooth talker who may not have the best intentions. Julian comes off all cool and easy-going when he meets Lucas, but did you notice that at least three times he mentions Peyton, and of course he knows that they are no longer together, well he thinks so anyways. At the end of the episode he sees Peyton and she looked like she would have rather seen Ian Banks than see Julian.

Speaking of Peyton's half-siblings in this episode she went to go visit her real half-brother Derek. Derek had just returned from combat and was being honored with a medal, Peyton came to celebrate with him and to tell him that she finally met their dad, Mick Wolf. Now my mind is having trouble stretching back to season four, but I always thought that Derek had not been in contact with Mick and I mean he did not even tell Peyton who their biological dad was, but in this episode he revealed that he had been trying to get him to come do a show for the base, and he refused. Which was when Peyton pulled the "I'm kind of a big deal" and said that she would plan the concert, can we queue performances by Mia Catalano and Haley James Scott.

The Scotts had an interesting night, Nate began his first Slamball game and in a sport that is more about the flashier side of the game, which is usually Nathan's style, Nate held back. While Haley sat in the stands and cringed, covering her eyes along with her son's, I thought that was hilarious at the end when she played for Nate and he did the same. I am loving this Slamball, it is great to see Nate play again and he has seemed to made a friend in Owen, and Nate has not had a friend that was not related to him or friends with his brother first or his wife's since Tim left, I mean Quentin was his friend but Nate was also his coach.

So Owen wants Brooke back, and he definitely stepped up his game, I thought he did a good job showing that he could be a good dad, the way he helped out with rebellious Sam and Jamie. Jamie has such a crush on Sam, he only slept over at Brooke's cause Sam was there, I hope she lets him down easy.

I love that Gigi is back, she is great, as long as Mouth stays faithful to Millie, I want her to stay.

I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble Julian's arrival will bring for Lucas and Peyton and what Gigi's flirtatious behavior will do to Mouth and Millie.moreless
  • How naif is Lucas ?

    "Great"
This episode was ok , just that not much really happen . Sam keeps being Sam , Nathan starts playing slamball , Millicent's jeaulosy grows and Peyton re unites with his brother which was about less than 5 minutes of the episode. I thought the movie offering to Lucas was original it's always great when they want to make a movie out of your book. I didn't like how stupid he was to sign a release without even reading and meeting nobody from the Production, the director , etcetera only Julien witout practically no questions asked ,he could be easily conning Lucas. Peyton seems to know Julien who seems to be more than a cool , sensitive easy going guy as he showed himself to Lucas.moreless

    • Jamie: Momma, can I sleep over at Aunt Brooke's house tonight? Haley: Oh, sweetie, I don't know if Aunt Brooke... Brooke: I would love that. It would be nice to have a man in the house. Jamie: Awesome, thank you! (runs off) Haley: And speaking of, I thought Owen looked pretty hot last night. Didn't you think so Millie? Millicent: Totally. What did you think Brooke? Brooke: I think I don't like either of you!

    • Haley: I will take one unfinished wedding dress. That's all I want, and I'll pay top dollar for it. Brooke: Well, I'll pay top dollar for one song off of an unfinished album. Haley:I don't like this game anymore. Brooke: Mm, I feel you.

    • Haley: So, what's going on with baby Brooke? Millicent: Victoria's lawyers say she owns it. Brooke's lawyers say Victoria's lawyers can baby Brooke themselves.

    • Nathan: Well, she's had a tough run lately, but on the list of a hundred things you've screwed up in your life, I'd say losing Brooke Davis is one through to ninety-nine. Owen: What's the other one? Nathan: That hair cut... or the drug addiction. One of the two.

    • Jamie: Mama says I'm not allowed to date yet, but Daddy says it's fine.

    • Brooke: (Shouting at Owen) Hey 99, thought you were going to protect 23. And why don't you get over your whole fear of having children while you're at it.

    • Brooke:: (on who's going to play her in Lucas' movie) I'm thinking Natalie Portman should play me. I can call her if you want. Lucas: It's set in high school. Does anybody get that? I mean... Brooke: Great. So I suppose you'll be getting some snot from the CW? Lucas: Hmmm... Brooke: At least they're hot.

    • Nathan: What does Peyton think of the movie? Lucas: What do you mean? Nathan: Well, I mean, she's basically half the book. How does she feel about it? Lucas: Well, she says she's good with it either way. Nathan: What about Brooke? (Lucas looks up suddenly like he realized something.) Nathan: Dude, Brooke's the other half!

    • Sam: Hey, you're short. Jamie: I'm five. What's your excuse?
