When Nathan walks into the gym while Dan and Whitey are talking, there is a thick, short line of blue paint on the wall. When the angle switches and comes back to Nathan, and he picks up the paint brush to start painting, the paint is gone and Nathan paints in the same spot.
On the back of Lucas' letter he sends to Brooke, he wrote down the words "Please do not burn". That is a reference to the finale of season 1 "The Games That Play Us" when Lucas wrote a letter to Peyton & Brooke before he left Tree Hill with Keith. Then in the premiere of season 2 "The Desperate Kingdom of Love," instead of reading it, the girls burned the letter on the beach.

When Nathan and Haley are having their birth control argument, Haley takes out a bottle of water. When Keith and Lucas are throwing the football, in one scene it shows Lucas with the ball, and in the next shot Keith has the ball, without Lucas throwing him the ball.
Lucas was coming home and his iPod was hanging at his pocket and his hand holding the earphones. However, when Keith threw the ball at him and he catches it, the iPod and earphones are nowhere to be seen.
Karen: (To Keith). We have known each other a long time, and every time that we have gotten close, I have been stubborn, and scared, and have found ways to let things get between us. And I can't let that happen again.
(Karen and Keith kiss, and then Keith is arrested for the Attempted Murder of Dan).
(Flashback No. 2)
Deb: Wake up, wake up. Dan's in the hospital. He's been burned.
Keith: What are you talking about?
Deb: Like you said, it was the only way.
Keith: Deb, what did you do?
Deb: It wasn't your war, Keith, it was mine. I drugged him. I set the dealership on fire. But somehow, he got out. He's alive.
Keith: Did Dan see you? Did anyone see you.
Deb: No, I don't think he remembers. Oh God, what should I do?
Keith: They'll think it was an accident. Just... just let it go, Deb. I'll leave town again, and we'll both pretend nothing happened. Okay.
(Flashback)
Deb: What are you doing?
Keith: Well, first I'm gonna kill this bottle of scotch, and then I'm going to kill my brother.
Deb: (Picks up the gun that was on Keith's bedside table). I can't let you do this, Keith. You're better than this.
Keith: It's the only way. He'll never stop Deb.
Deb: This is not your war.
Keith: No. Nathan's next Deb, Nathan's next.
Whitey: (As Dan walks into the old gym). I thought I told you boys to kill all the cockroaches.
Ellie: (Talking about Peyton approaching the Nada Surf manager). Peyton, you were great back there. Whatever happens, you should be really proud. Your mom would be, too.
Peyton: Thanks.
Ellie: She was great. She's the reason I picked your parents to be your parents. The day you were born - 14 hours of labour. You kicked through the whole third trimester, but then you didn't wanna come out. You were stubborn even back then. When you finally did, the nurses took you away. That was the policy of adoption. But your mom was there, and she brought you back to me, she wanted us to spend some time together. She was kind.
Peyton: Can I ask you about the cancer?
Ellie: I never had the surgery. I had chemo. It made me really sick, but the cancer went away. For a while.
Peyton: So what are you doing now?
Ellie: I'm spending time with you.
Brooke: I don't know why it's so easy for me to get naked one way, but not the other.
Nathan: Did you think about it, having a baby to stay together?
Haley: Nathan, I am 17 years old, we're still in high school, you and I are totally in limbo. No. I don't want a baby.
Nathan: Well you knew you weren't protected that night.
Haley: Well, first of all, it takes two, guy without a condom. Second, the only thing I was thinking about that night was being with my husband. The fact that you think I was trying to trap you into something is really insulting.
Nathan: Then why'd you go off birth control?
Haley: Because I was on tour, and you weren't with me, and contrary to what you were thinking, I wasn't sleeping with Chris Keller.
Nathan: I never said that. You still should have told me Haley.
Haley: Told you what, that when you have sex there's a risk of pregnancy?
Nathan: Haley, I know.
Haley: You should have told me that having sex turns you into an ass.
Nathan: Haley, what if something were to happen? Huh. That would have changed our lives forever.
Haley: Like what, marriage?
Nathan: I know, I know we're married. I'm talking about basketball, my career.
Haley: Oh, okay, so let me get this straight, you're the one with goals and dreams, and the only thing I want, apparently, is you back. I'm not that desperate, Nathan.
Haley: And if you're so worried about it, why didn't you stop us that night. It's just as much your responsibility as it is mine.
Nathan: You're right, it is my responsibility. Let me see the pills.
Haley: I cannot believe you still don't believe me. Here. (Hands Nathan her birth control pills). Take 'em. I don't need them anymore.
Nathan: Haley.
Haley: Your future as a basketball player is totally secure, your future as my husband, not so much.
Keith: (To Dan). I hear you think I tried to kill you. Trust me, if I did, you'd be dead.
Dan: Oh, I doubt it. In fact, the attempt on my life has all the markings of a Keith Scott operation, starting with the fact it was a failure.
Keith: (Walks into Karen's Cafe). You still got the best cup of coffee in town? (Karen drops the pot of coffee). Guess not anymore.
Whitey: I hope you boys have had your tetanus shots, because you're gonna be spending a lot of time here.
Narayan: What's wrong with the other gym?
Whitey: It's got my name on it. And I'm tired of y'all disgracing it. So it's either find another gym or change my name, and I like my name.
Nathan: You really expect us to practice in this dump.
Whitey: Not only practice, until further notice, you're gonna play all your games in here. But first, you got to clean it up.
Haley: Nathan, please don't walk out - you do it all the time.
Nathan: That's because it keeps me from saying things you don't wanna hear.
(Haley & Nathan fighting, Lucas & Brooke listening in the next room)
Nathan: Haley, what if something happened? That would have changed our lives forever!
Haley: Like what, marriage?!
Brooke: Ooh, she's good.
Lucas: (about Haley and Nathan fighting) It sounds ugly.
Brooke: I know. Makes me feel like I'm still living at home with my parents. Without the drinking or the death threats.
Karen:You are almost 18 years old and I'm almost 36 years old and if you do the maths it's pretty obvious what my concerns are...
Lucas:Mom, we didn't do that, we're being careful, more careful than you know!
Karen:It's more than being careful with the chemistry, Lucas, it's about being careful with your heart.
Lucas:Like you are with Keith!? ... I know, you're right mom and I get it, but maybe if you're always looking for reasons not to be with somebody, you'll always find 'em and I guess in some point, maybe you should let go and give your heart what it deserves ...
Haley: Look how cute she is.....Ouch.
Nathan: You ok, let me see. Aw you just grazed it. Let me get you a bandaid.
Haley: Ok they're in the bathroom. Kiss First.
Brooke: What are you doing?
Nathan: Oh, I was just, looking for bandaids.
Brooke: Well buddy, you found my birth control patches. Those fix a whole 'nother problem. Next cabinet.
Dan: Come on son, time to go.
Nathan: For you maybe.
Dan: You finally grew a pair of balls.
Keith: I always had a pair Danny. Just ask your wife.
Lucas: (voice over) H.L. Mencken wrote "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."
Whitey: Get out of my craphole, Danny.
Keith: (to Dan) You can't find something that's not there Danny, you know like your heart.
Peyton: I think you're rubbing off on her.
Brooke: Why? Is being desperately horny contagious? Guess I'll just have to sleep with Lucas.
Nathan: You're still on birth control, right?
Haley: I wasn't that night.
