It's a show about two brothers who share the same father, but have different mothers. There is a lot of drama because of that throughout the first season. Eventually they become friends. The first season was heavily based off of basketball. The casting for this show is great, and not to mention hot. Although you can tell in earlier seasons some of the actors lack experience, I feel a lot of them now have grown into their own. Overall it is not a show that every one can enjoy, but as far as I concern I think the show can makes it though teens pretty well.
one tree hills is the most awesom show i've ever watch. the characters are fantastic, and i love brooke davis. i can never get enough of every season, and i'm hoping they will continue till season 7. because it is a very good tv show for teenagers like me
i love brooke davis the most. she is so good with chase adams, unfortunately he left, and now he's with mia. but thats okay, because one tree hill match a really good couple. like naley, and then there's brooke with jullian now. peyton with lucas. the season gets better every day, and i think one tree hill is worth watching. i can never get enough episode of one tree hill. i love this tv show so much, and i wil never quit watching it. until the end of time. one tree hill is very good for us to learn something,.
This show is awesome, I can never get enough of it!! i love all of the characters. Hilarie burton plays 'Peyton Sawyer' beautifully. And Sophia she is awesome as well. i wish it was still on foxtel and i cant wait for the sixth episode to come out on t'v and dvd. I cannot get enough of Chad Michael Murray ohh he is such a good actor, as they all are. I didnt like at the end of the fifth season, how lucas called someone and said he had 2 tickets to vegas lets gat married tonight?' We never got to see who he was calling, but as i have read over the website about season 6 that he does marry peyton, that's who i thought he would go for anyways, he was supposed to marry peyton in the end anyways.
One of my all time favorite shows, from a self-admitted t.v. junkie. I never used to be into the teen genre type of thing. Small town, lots of amazing people and fascinating story lines. Loveable characters and great music.
One of the best t.v. shows of all time. I got hooked by accident, stumbled upon a rerun of season 2 on soapnet. asked my friend about it, he told me he loved it, i caught up, got addicted, the rest is history. if you're looking for characters to care about and storylines that keep you hooked, look no further. prepare to laugh, sometimes cry, discover great music, ogle all the ridiculously attractive cast members, etc.
it's hard to explain why the show is so great. i'm 24 now, but when i watch it i can totally relate to what's going on and i can connect to how the characters are feeling and whats happening. you really feel like you're part of it all. be warned it's addicting. the first 4 seasons are the best. i love the show so much, but i might end up saying to just ignore season 5 and 6. the first 4 culminated perfectly. i highly recommended it to anyone and everyone.
One Tree Hill is an epic tale of two brothers who knew about each other but never took the time to get to know each other until Lucas joined the varsity basketball team... and after that the rest is a great story... i really liked this show because it tells about how these brothers overcome their differences and become friends i mean they worked threw the argues and the fights and they found love lost it and the started all over again... i find myself glued to the TV every monday at 9pm. watching it.... i think this is a really good show because it most of the episodes are so relatable... The brothers with the same father, the cheating boyfriend, the backstabbing bestfriend, the teenage pregnancy. One Tree Hill is a great show for many reasons, and the best is that this show teaches life lessons at the same time it follows its own beat it isn't like every other show... and that is what makes One Tree Hill such a great show, and makes everybody love it so much... if it was ever to get canceled there would be alot of upset fans........ I really love One Tree Hill!!!!!!!!
One Tree Hill starts off as the story of two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, who have the displeasure of sharing an insufferable and vile father, but progresses into a story of an endearing group of friends who you can't help but love. Of course, as in any teen drama, you'll find some overused and clichéd storylines, ranging from love triangles to teen pregnancies. Most of these subjects have been touched upon numerous times by just about every teen drama out there, and can feel a bit stale if they aren't handled properly. I'm going to be blunt – there are many of these repetitive storylines found within this show. However, it's not the storyline that makes it worth watching, it's the characters and how they react to these situations. Any show can throw in soapy, romantic dialogue and love triangles, but it takes a special kind of show to make you actually care about it, which One Tree Hill pulls off with great success. The characters are truly what make the show worthwhile. Portrayed by a group of relatively talented young actors, these characters spring forth from the scripts and come alive within your heart. They have depth and likeability, and above all they are human, just like you and me. If the hot-shot, bad-boy character of Nathan doesn't appeal to you, then maybe the warm hearted and kind Lucas will. The ensemble truly works wonders for this show, and creates a world of diverse and interesting people. It is, for sure, an emotionally driven drama that is sure to pack a punch. No matter who your favourite character is, or who your favourite couple is, you can always find something to love in every one of the colourful people of Tree Hill.
One Tree Hill has been a personal favourite of mine for a lot of reasons. It has the perfect cast, amazing writers, and relatable characters. Chad Michael Murray as Lucas Scott, even though he is annoying at times, is a perfect fit. You need a pretty face in Lucas's role. Hilarie Burton as Peyton Sawyer, she is just amazing. When it comes to do those emotional scenes like the one in Season 3, when she see's Ellie die, it's heartbreaking. Bethany Joy Lenz and James Lafferty are perfect as Nathan and Haley- only because they have amazing chemistry together. THEY are the reason why Naley is loved so much. But the best person on the cast is Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis. Brooke Davis is my favourite character, and Sophia is amazing in that role. She steals every scene that she is in. She has amazing chemistry with Chad and makes Brucas the most loveable couple in Soap Opera History. The Season 3 Finale is the best finale in the history of the show. Their scene is regarded as the best scene of One Tree Hill. Even though Mark pisses me off at times, I know in my heart that One Tree Hill is my favourite show!
OTH is the first show that I can remember (and I'm 57) that gives hope to us all that things will work out. They all have their setbacks and tragedies just like real life and it shows them struggling to get through it, but in the end, they do. GREAT..
Real life events take place on OTH. Yea, they sometimes get a little out of tune, but they really hit home too. It shows live struggles and disasters and how people come together to get through them and heal. It shows love's struggles and that it's not always roses - that it takes work to keep it all together. Each set of actors has their own stores going on. Sometimes they rub off on others in the show and sometimes they stay home. Real life tragedies happen and life changing events. In 57 years, I have seen it all and experienced a lot of it personally. It's great to see such a show that can show the recovery and healing side to these things. Lots of "life lessons" can be learned from OTH.
I love this show. I honestly heard about it, and refused to watch it for some stupid stupid reason. I was channel surfing, and caught a bit of it. I can't remember the episode. But I dived in headfirst. I think my favourite character, Nathan. I'm a huge basketball fan, and man does he ever have game ! I'm also huge on bad boys. But One Tree Hill, has the power to move you, with even the simplest actions. One shot, one crane move. That's all it ever needed to be. Like in one of the recent episodes with Dan's heart. All the kefuffle in the hospital is great and everything, but you have the camera move to Paul Johansson's face, and the emotion pouring through his face, oh my god I just about cryed! But all in all, this is a great show. From it's parents view, to reinventing themselves over and over, it just makes me keep watching this show. If this EVER goes off the air, I'll be buying all the season DVDS , well, the ones I dont have, and still having my monday night One. Tree. Hill.
One Tree Hill is my personal favorite because I've watched this show since I found out that the guy from "Freaky Friday" was the lead character and when I saw the first episode, I felt the passion, the anger, the determination, and...the fun. One Tree Hill is also a very influencial show because of its messages. From Lucas' quotes in the beginning to Nathan's anger turned into strength. Haley is Lucas' best friend and I know how she feels next to him its the same way I feel with my best friend. She can tell him anything and he won't flip out. Nathan is just sexy all together but to the truth I hated him in the beginning of the series. He was a jerk. Brooke is the girl I wanted to be in high school but also want to be in college. Peyton is the emo girl i was close of being when my grandmothers died. However whats held me together is ONE TREE HILL. This show has helped me understand how I am and how others are. That what we see on the television isnt all fun and games. "There is only one Tree Hill." That line says a lot. Oh and the parent angle of the show is what makes it appealing to other audiences and that is another reason why OTH is so good. Karen, Dan, Keith, Deb, Andy, Jules,Larry. All but two are parents and they all concentrate on the kids of Tree Hill: Lucas, Nathan, Peyton, Haley, Brooke, Mouth, Skills, Junk, Fergie, Jimmy, Bevin. Now that the angle for the show changed and the actors are playing their age, its a different show but like Moira Kelly's character, Karen, said: "There is only one Tree Hill." Thanks Tree Hill for being the place in the entire world I can always come back to.
Peyton and Lucas are my favorite couple with Haley and Nathan a close second. I hope that Brooke and Julian get together. I think that they will make for one hot couple. Brooke deserves some happiness after the year that she has had. Best of luck to them all. I am looking forward to what will happen with the rest of the season. But then I will also be looking forward to the new season to start. I think Peyton and the baby will be just fine. I think they want everyone to panic and see what the ratings will turn into. But I think that it will turn out okay and next year is when all of the drama will start up again.
I could appreciate the One Tree Hill a million times and yet it will not be enough! This tv show has made me cry an ample number of times! Every episode speaks to me and I can share myself with all the characters in some way or the other! One Tree Hill is down to earth, heart warming and beautiful tv show that leaves me wanting more of it! I cannot chose a season or an episode or a character because everything about is perfect!
All the actors in this tv show are so talented and natural and do their parts full justice! While loyal Nathan makes every basketball loving guy yearn to be like him, Kind and caring Lucas makes every girl wanting him more! Peyton's problems are relatable and in some way or the other teach us how to move along with all the pain! Haley is everyones best friend and loves and apreciates everything! And finally chirpy Brooke is an inspring brave character that lot of women today admire! Dan, Debbie, Keith and Karen explains about parents and family! Mouth and Skills also bring out a strong side of friendship! This story is about making choices, loving what you have and having a life that you can always look back to and smile upon! Definitely a winner in its true word! I hope they have a succesful season 6 and season 7!!
I have learnt to be more mature and smarter person because of this!
Thank you for creating such a memorable and heart aching tv show!
One Tree Hill is the perfect T.V. Show for all ages. It's the story of 5 main characters lives. Lucas, Brooke, Peyton, Haley, and Nathan. They went through high school and are now adults. There are love triangles, new lovers, new friends, and a whole new season. The seasons are always great and each episode will leave you wanting to watch more. I think any one who watches this will fall in love with the show and its cast. Every one I know of does. There is no way you can hate this T.V. show. If you haven't watched it then you are missing out on so much. So tune in Monday Nights at 8!
I absolutely love this show. I became hooked on it a couple months ago. I have my DVR recording every single repeat episode and new episode. I've pretty much finished season 1, most of seasons 2 and 3 and some of season 4. I hate how the Soap channel doesn't show repeats in order. They might show 2 or 3 shows in order and then jump to another season. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. I'm checking off a list of episodes I found on IMDB to make sure I fill in all the missed episodes. After I finish all the earlier years, I'll start watching season 5 and 6.
What to say about my favorite show ever. Well One Tree Hill is ah-mazing every episode is so good. I love Lucas and Peyton. And I'm glad that they didn't follow them all to college because that would of been confusing. But One Tree Hill deals with real things that happen every day in real life in teenagers lives. Well not every teens lives because I hope I never experience a school shooting that would be terrible. Also another thing i love about one tree hill besides Chad Michael Murray (haha) is the music. They always have amazing music I mean just look at Kate Voegele, Gavin Degraw, And FALL OUT BOY!! OTH FOREVER
I think what sets one tree hill away from a lot of the other teen dramas like 90210, Gossip Girl, and and the o.c. is that those shows rely solely on the fashion trends and style they wear. That of course is great. I also love those shows but my favorite is one tree hill because one tree hill has been around for a while and it somehow still is up on most peoples fav. show list. For as long as one tree hill keeps running I will always watch as well as support it. one tree hill = love
This show is just like any other teen drama where nothing significant of note ever happens. The same old premise is always taking front stage and it makes me really dislike the show. Also, there is constant whining and constant storylines where nothing happens. The acting is average. The thing is that I think that's the only positive thing I can say about the show. I like the fact that the show isn't as bad as other shows, but it isn't a walk in the park. Overall, I do not like this show and I can't stand to watch it. Thank you.
This is the best show in the whole world. My favorite is of course the prettiest and funniest Peyton Elizabeth sawyer. I am also a bigfan of Leyton...Lucas and Peyton. They are just so cute together. I also think the scenes where Brooke and Peyton are just being girls and being best friends are also really cute. I love the music on this show. It is the best music ever. This show got me into punk music even though my friends pick on me for it. They don't understand how cool punk is. I think that everone should watch this show because i love it. It's the only show i can watch all the time and never get sick of it.
I only started watching One Tree Hill last year and now its my favourite show. I thought the high school seasons were amazing and when it went into the future, maybe the 5th season wasnt the best but the 6th one definately is! I love the storylines in season 6 and I've cried at a lot of the episodes. I think they gave Brooke a really good storyline this season with the attack and maybe i wanted her and lucas to get together but him and peyton are cute too. Nathan and Haley havent gotten the best storylines they're kind of all just a bit cheesy and borin and i really didnt like it when peyton got pregnant. But that doesnt get in the way of what an amazing show it is!
I love the show! It will never replace The O.C., but it's definitely the show that inspires me in different ways. Though it got renewed today, I wish they wouldn't because creatively they are at a peak point and it would be a total waste to ruin the magic of the show just to keep The CW alive.
Chad might not even come back so for Mark the smart choice would be to wrap up the show now that is still worth watching.
I can't imagine what they could do next? How many more BF's will Brooke have? Nathan will loose his dream again? Will they give even less screen time for Haley? Peyton and Lucas will part again?? Does that make any sense? Because to me it doesn't.
It's an amazing show with good story lines and actors and music...But it's time to pull the plug, before they jump the shark and the show becomes lame and boring(Smallville creators should think about that too)
I've been a one tree hill fan from the very beginning. It used to be a teen drama/angst show, at least the first four seasons are, but now they showcase a different part of life. It is BRILLANT that they skipped the "deathsentence" college years(!) (which killed Dawson's Creek, hurt 90210 and is the LEAST favourite season of Buffy the Vampire slayer to many) But it is what it is, its outlandish storylines (i.e a couple married before grade 11 and somehow they make it, or a 22 year old world famous millionare clothing designer) but it has humour, a hot cast and heart which are a winning combination. Its definitely worth watching, especially season 1 and 5 those are my personal favorites :) but 2-4 and 6 are great too. Just take it for what it is :)
I started watching One Tree Hill in October, where my first episode was the one where Nathan and Haley go on the date Brooke set up. Since then, i have watched the show many, many times. For Christmas 2008, my sister and her boyfriend got me Season 1, after that, I bought myself Seasons 2, 3 and 4. My mum later bought me season 5 and for i long time i have been waiting to find out a release date for Season 6. Once i found out it would be released on the 27th of July, i have spent no money as i am now saving up to pre-order as soon as i can. In my opinion, One Tree Hill is the best show EVER! And it would be a damn shame if Season 6 is the last season.
When it comes to teen drama, this show is the BEST.
I don't get it why people compare this show to other shows of the same genre, like the O.C. OTH is a hundred times better and i will tell you why:
It has got a diverse story line, it not just about a bunch of teenagers and their romantic counterparts, its a show which touches all the characters life, the characters who resides in the town TREE HILL. Its not about some teens fooling around, all the senior characters have just as important roles as the teens.
Wayyyyy better performances. All the actors are lovely, cute, hot.... you name it, they have got it!!!! :D
and best of all, you can relate to these characters and their story lines. The problems that they show in the show, are problems which we had, have or, are going to have sometimes in the future.
To those of you who don't watch the show, please reconsider. :)
There Is Only One Tree Hill And Thats The Best And It Includes Lucas Scott, Nathan Scott, Hayle James Scott, Brooke Davis And Peyton Sawyer All Part Of The Best Cast In A TV Show Which Is About Love, Friendship And Above All Happyness Best Show Out There.
In Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One Tree Hill Is The Best And It Includes Lucas Scott, Nathan Scott, Hayle James Scott, Brooke Davis And Peyton Sawyer All Part Of The Best Cast In A TV Show Which Is About Love, Friendship And Above All Happyness Best Show Out There. I Can talk About This Show All Day. One Tree Hill Mondays On The CW Weekdays On Soap Net. Seasons 1-5 On DVD. Starring Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton, Sophia Bush And Bethany Joy Galeotti Best Cast I Just Cant Get Enough Best !
This is my all-time favorite show. I started watching during the 5th season and I immediatly bought seasons 1-4 and later 5. Looking back my lest favorite season is actually either 2 or 5, but they are still good too. One Tree Hill features wonderful actors and actresses. They have great writers and storylines. Some of my favorites being Brooke/Peyton/Licas love triangle, the second time around. I hated the Naley marriage struggle, they are a supercouple in my book. There are some episode better than others, personally the 6th season is one of the best, but overall it is such a good show!
The show is a great one.The characters are great and they represent different kinds of people. My personal favorite is Brooke Davis(Sophia Bush) to me she pictures young teens that lack the presence of elders. One of the reasons I think she's great is because inspite of all her problems she still made it and still tries her friends. Then we have Nathan and Lucas the estranged brothers who end up as friends. We also have Haley Lucas' best-friend who ends up marrying Nathan and they have a son together Jamie. There also is Peyton,Brooke's bestfriend who is in love with Lucas. Finally a good show kudos to the cast and crew.
Lucas and Nathan have three things in common; their last names, their father, and their love of basketball. They will have to learn to overcome their differences and find out the true meaning of being a brother.
I seriously love this show. The relationships are really complex and dynamic and its fantastic. Basically the entire show is about Lucas and Nathan and their friends and i actually really like all of the characters in the show, which is surprising. Usually there are a few characters who im just like, come on already get rid of them. I suppose Dan is really annoying but thats just the role he is supposed to play so i can live with it and watch the show anyways. I like the fact that Nathan and Haley have been together through the whole series and that Lucas and Peyton have always been meant for each other. Its a perfect show, basically.
Lucas and Julian argue on who is going to direct the movie. James Vanderbeak's charachter manupleniate's Julian' dad into working on the movie which is bs considering it's Lucas's movie and he should be making all the decisions, Brooke and Julian hook up.
well I don't know what to think about monday's episode I thought it was kinda rushed I guess is the right word. I liked Stephan and Kate's chemistery together I think they look cute together to be honest. now with Sam finding out that her and Julian hook up was absoutely halerious! lol the way she kept laughing was just sooo funny... that was just great. I thought it was really really cute how Chase walked into the studio and asked Mia if she knew how to make a long island iced tea lol I forgot that Owen left the bar last week? I don't even remember when that happend but good for him. I hope we get to see more of Mouth and Millie next week I want to know what is going on.. well that's my review
It was a greatest episode am happy that Lucas and Peyton are having a baby and Brooke beat up her attacker. and that sam has excepted Brooke as her foster mom.
The biggest change ofthem all is Brooke and Julian, it seems like as if their are in the same boat with their parents and the of relationship that is s. I was amused by Sam's interaction with BJ. I enjoy the strong writing provided for the younger characters like Sam and Jamie, but it makes the leads seem a bit worn out. I am all for Mia and Chase, but I am not sure the point. They have no real depth and the amount of time they spend just kissing makes them feel like simple eye-candy. Is the show worried fans are tired of looking at CCM? Nathan certainly spends less time with his shirt off these days.
Nathan's moral of the day for Jamie was a good one and I enjoy their interaction. Leyton played it low-key this week. It was get to see how heir are going to see how their are behaving with kids. JvB is exactly the director Dawson didn't want to be, but this kind might be more interesting to watch. It's ok to let the characters be happy, but make them move a bit please.
Especially after last week's episodes this one just felt average and a bit blah. The biggest change was the officiating of Brooke and Julian, but after all of the over the top ways Brooke has gotten in (and out)of relationships this seemed a bit blase. I was amused by Sam's interaction with BJ. I enjoy the strong writing provided for the younger characters like Sam and Jamie, but it makes the leads seem a bit worn out. I am not anti- Mia and Chase, but I am not sure the point. They have no real depth and the amount of time they spend just kissing makes them feel like simple eye-candy. Is the show worried fans are tired of looking at CCM? Nathan certainly spends less time with his shirt off these days. Chase used to have the CleanTeen angle but now just seems convienent. Nathan's moral of the day for Jamie was a good one and I enjoy their interaction. (Not sure why Dan is still around.) Leyton played it low-key this week. Peyton's BJ issues were quickly resolved and she got the ring she wanted. I did laugh at OTH as a gang story but I'm glad it's Dawson who won in the end. I sure hope the irony of JvB's character on the show is intentional because it's quite good. JvB is exactly the director Dawson didn't want to be, but this kind might be more interesting to watch. I was confused though, is his use of Lucas' words meant to be an evil twist or reveal his deeper need to be good? Either way his selection must be nice for those who picked up OTH after Dawson's ended. Not a very exciting review but i put that back onto the episode. Last week showed some promise but this one just sort of sat there. It's ok to let the characters be happy, but make them move a bit please.
And don't you hate the words "two weeks from now..."
