In this episode, Nathan and Haley get married during daytime. However, in the previous episode, they got married in the evening, after the game.
The number 23 appears on the moving box where Keith writes the reasons to stay and go. This number appears frequently throughout the series, leading some viewers to believe it may have hidden significance to the writers.
When Haley says "Well maybe so" in response to Nathan saying she's caving on waiting for marriage to have sex during the flashback, her lips are not moving. It's obvious that this scene was shot at least twice and the shots vary during the scene.
Continuity: In the hospital, Deb is wearing the same clothes that she was wearing when Dan had the heart attack, which means that the action is happening the day after, but Dan's hair is longer and he's sporting a beard.
The words that Peyton writes on her wall are the lyrics to Yellowcard's "Empty Apartment", which is playing in the background.
When Keith writes "STAY" on the refrigerator box, the way it's written is different between shots.
Haley: (convinced she and Nathan have made a mistake and rushed into marriage)
I'm not a wife! I'm not even a senior!
Nathan: Haley, Haley, listen, this is not a mistake!
Haley: How can you be sure? Because there is nobody that thinks this thing can work.
Nathan: I do. I promise you, Haley. I will always be there for you; I will always protect you. Okay? (slides ring back on her finger) I will always protect you. Always.
Nathan: (comes into the room, sees Haley sobbing on floor) Haley, what's wrong?
Haley: I was just alphabetizing our CDs, and, um, we don't have any doubles. Not one.
Nathan: So what?
Haley: So, 'Natalie Merchant' after 'Nas'? and 'Wilco' before the 'Wu Tang Clan'?
Nathan: So you listen to crummy music. I can live with that.
Whitey: Karen, I always pretend to be asleep when the nurse comes in here. She looks a lot like death, only uglier.
Keith: You know Luke, Dan's your birth father and um, even though he's never been in your life it wouldn't be wrong to be concerned.
Lucas: Would it be wrong to hope he dies?
Brooke: (to Peyton) Come on you fake blonde Goldilocks. Let's go.
Whitey: You know what I would do if I was your age?
Karen shakes her head no.
Haley: Nathan, couples don't get married in high school. It's just... not normal.
Nathan: So, I'm not normal... and what I'm feeling is definitely not normal. I'm gonna be honest with you Haley, I don't ever want to be normal. Not with you. I'm serious.
Haley: I know you are.
Nathan: Ok, so I'll say it again. I could love you forever.
Haley: Nathan, so could I.
Nathan: So then why can't forever start today?
Nathan: It's not about him. We're married now Haley. I'm never gonna hide that.
Brooke: Peyton, look at us. Look at this day. We are practically a beer commercial.
Nathan: Mr. and Mrs. James. You know that I'm emancipated and that I respect both of you very much and...
Jim: I think I know where you're going with this. Now if we adopt you, the making out with Haley is gonna have to stop, at least in public.
Jimmy: Well if it isn't Haley James. In my house between the hours of 8 and 12.
Haley: Hello Daddy.
Jimmy: Daddy, uh-oh. This is gonna be expensive.
Nathan: Someday, this beach might wash away... the oceans may dry, the sun could dim, but on that day I'll still be loving you. Always and forever. I promise you, Haley.
Haley: I, Haley, take you Nathan to have and to hold from this day forward. In sickness and in health. For richer or poorer. For better or worse. I promise that I will love and cherish you, and will deny all things that come between us. I make this promise for eternity. A promise that I will keep forever. Until the end of time. 'Til death do us part.
Brooke: (while watching Lucas' letter burn) I hope it wasn't money.
Lydia: Jimmy! Kitchen! Haley's pregnant!
Keith: All right just to recap on the "reasons to stay" side we got: Dan's an ass, you were an ass, my new teaching job, we both get a fresh start, your mother annilated my heart, and this apartment has a killer view.

Keith: (referring to Lucas' haircut) Holy Cow! What happened to your head?
Lucas: I figured new town, new look.
Keith: Okay. Whatever you say, Felicity.
This is an allusion to another WB show, Felicity, whose main character cut off all her hair early on in the second season of the show.
